Random Underdogs Obscure Memories (RUOM) 9: In episode 58, the Underdogs talked about April fools and how it would be so smart to ask your crush out on that date. Then, they talked about a video of someone proposing on a baseball field and getting tackled to the ground. They proceeded to show said video on a TV setup, which showed the production quality of the podcast. They did say that it may not be a permanent addition to the pod, but never elaborated. Amount of people that remember or are curious about the incident 👇

To Peter: I think the BEST (written) song is probably Sing About Me, I'm Dying of Thirst by Kendrick Lamar. One of the best (lyrically) written songs of all time. Also Jordan missed a perfect opportunity with his devil in a dress evolution line with making the second evolution split into another path, sort of like gallade and gardevoir. This evolution could be called Redeemon (demon) (redeemed) and it could be like the good ending where the pokemon reflects upon itself and realizes that partying is not good for him, where he then makes friends and has a happy life.

One album/soundtrack thats held up for a few years is Risk Of Rain 2, by Chris Christodoulou

Peter: One of the best albums I know of is Out of Exile by Audioslave. Chris Cornell's vocals are incredible as always, and Morello definitely has a unique style of lead guitar. For Jordan: Diamond Rio by Diamond Rio. Spectacular 90's country, kinda bluegrass-y. Hope you enjoy!

Peter if you’re reading this I would like to say that, last year you said you wanted to be the funniest underdog in 2023, and I think that you were the funniest underdog of 2023, and with this episode of the pod, it’s looking like you’re going to be the funniest of 2024. Also I would say that the best music is probably the Beatles or queen since it’s held up for the longest time. Also to Jordan I would recommend Merle Haggard, Dolly Parton and Johnny Cash for country.

imo the best music is rock & metal (i am very biased) because everyone can find a subgenre that they enjoy (dark music: black metal, up-beat music: melodeath / traditional heavy metal, workout music: death metal, impressive music: tech death / math rock, epic "power of friendship" music: power metal, blow my brains out™ music: grindcore (and subgenres), etc.). it also is a display of skill, especially more technically challenging subgenres such as death metal, math rock, tech death, etc. compared to more easy-to-make contemporary music like pop

I truly believe the best album of all time is discovery by daft punk along with its film interstella 5555. It’s super cohesive and tells a great story with some of the best instrumentals in all of music imo (ex. Aerodynamic) this is such a futuristic album with generational songs like one more time on it. Truly a masterpiece I urge everyone who hasn’t listened to play it in its entirety

Hop try IGOR by Tyler the creator it’s only 12 songs and is one of the best albums the past couple years. It shares a similar sound scape with electronic and dance which it seems like you guys enjoy. It has a lot of 808’s, synths, keyboard etc. It has amazing writing and is a concept album. The rapping and singing is also amazing but it’s not a rap album. I could go on and on about it but you gotta listen!!

I would suggest the song (for Hopcat and Poppt1) "Hippies and Cowboys" by Cody Jinx. It's a great country song that I think will still hold up for a long time.

I have no clue at all what your music taste is Hop, but since you listened to and like the Beatles, these are some of my favorite albums and/or bands I'd recommend that are also critically acclaimed. Wish You Were Here, Dark Side of the Moon, The Wall, and Animals (Pink Floyd) Aja (Steely Dan) Pet Sounds (The Beach Boys) I'd reccomend a lot more, but I seriously don't know where your music taste is lmao.
