Most places charge between $5-$15! Some big events can even go up to $100 per ticket!!

Wow that seems so silly to me. With online buying being such a thing you'd think they'd want as many people as possibly there on the buyer side of things to make the vending fee worthwhile

@@BobCCLIV definitely agree! However in the end the event host, most of the time, seeks to make the most money for themselves so they can outweigh the cost of hosting the actual event. It can definitely get expensive! I wanted to host one of these and they were quoting me $8000-$10000 per day so just depends the size of the event again.

Never understood the point of charging admission. Is it to subsidize renting the venue? Or to pay for raffle prizes. Ideally the cost of vendor tables should cover the venue rental and a modest profit for the promoter. Maybe it's to keep out non collectors who would crowd the space and maybe more likely to steal stuff..

The point about keeping “non collectors out” is actually probably spot on! Never thought about it that way, but when you put it like that with taking into consideration the crowd too it makes total sense!

Idk if I would’ve traded for the VG pikachu in all honesty. The card’s price floor is getting a bit uncertain with the reprint. Could see 10 prices below $200 soon.

I don't understand paying to get into a show like this. I hope the sellers didn't have to pay to setup at least. If buyers are paying to get in sellers shouldn't have to pay to setup hopefully.

Hey there! So Vendors always have to pay to set up. Depending on the size of the event, this can cost between $50-$350 PER TABLE. So it gets pretty expensive and that’s why sometimes it works a little better to just show up and buy/trade like I did! Hope this helps

@@lastemp4661 you said you pay a venue , pay electricity, and pay for air conditioning? That seems like you need a different venue. I assumed with where it’s located it’s your building so electricity, air conditioning, water, floors, ceiling , walls, tables, we’re all there already. lol, I’ve obviously never done it before so I won’t pretend I know what’s going on behind the scenes, being business minded it just SEEMS like at least the patrons should be free. ./shrug . I don’t want you to post your whole financial statement either.
