@@Just_a_guy24 Well my team is often a full team of sweepers (lower HP and defensive stats, but ridiculous attack or special attack and can out speed anything) I do this because it's easier to grind sweepers as they just one shot every trainer and everything in the green grass before taking any hits. So 200 Hp is enough

this is literally my 5th time watching this video, as it really spoke volumes about my childhood with Pokemon. @5:53 When lance started to see himself in gold and even remember Red, that's how I felt during my own soccer competitions with some rookies; someday soon you're gonna meet people who have the same spirit you do, the same drive to learn, the hunger for more than just winning. We all have to start from somewhere, just like lance, Red and Gold did. That's what being a champion is about: not carrying a title, but paving the way for the next generation.

But if you're like me, I didn't need to run off from batteries ever because I could keep playing the whole game endlessly through Pokémon Stadium 2, if you know what I mean. - I accidentally evolve my Eevee at Night... grinding it to from goldenrod to elite 4 in case i found elemental stone. I don't even know who is Umbreon. -I found Aipom accidentally when I'm trying to find Heracross when my brother found where it was. -I found Red accidentally in Mount Silver, hoping to find Legendary Birds if it was still in the game. no legendary birds but I found the legendary trainer Red, but kicked my butt. That was the happiest buttkicking I experience.

It's crying but in a good way. I have fond memories of playing this game on the Gameboy Color at night with the worm light accessory underneath the blankets, and letting the national park theme play as I drifted off to sleep. Sure it drained the batteries but I didn't care. The trainer grown up at the end is you. You no longer have the time you once did to create these kinds of memories. While your days as a Pokemon trainer may be limited, if not already having come to an end, the memories are eternal. I thank the creator for allowing me to revisit these memories even if it was only for a few minutes.

@@emeraldjolteon1472 the only time i can remember boxing my starters were either when i had to complete the pokedex so for that i replace each team member with the ones who can only be obtained via evolution or when i had a team comprising of pokemons who couldnt learn flash or fly

There's two things that you do that amaze me; 1. The fact that while the pokemon are hitting each other with punches and kicks, you incorporate moves that we and the opponent used. And 2. The fact that instead of giving them some random noise to make like the anime itself does, you use their respective cries from the game which brings back so many memories. You use nostalgia in a way where it's completely appropriate, and hits us directly in the feels. Great job

Finally, that was the best. After seeing this I rate it 10/10. Excellent. I'm really speechless.

This is the beauty of Pokemon. You start off on a virtual journey with a "pet" and then you gain other pets along the way. Somewhere along the lines of talking to people and gaining exp, you start to get emotionally attached to your pets, it's almost as if they were real, no, it's that you wish they were real. This emotionally attachment never goes away no matter how many years you put between yourself and Pokemon the series or the games.

Not ro be dramatic or anything but I'd die for my Typhlosion who is, in fact, maybe just a bunch of luckily placed codes in a digital game machine. But I'll die for him.

This is so far the most accurate depiction of pokemon moves I've seen in any animation(yeah, even than the official ones since they kinda has their own rule for moves and types...) And great job for using all the iconic Pokemons in the Gold version, instead of the most powerful ones. Love it!!!

you can never be too old to play pokemon so play pokemon crystal or any pokemon games as much as you want

In the game you cant solo the elite four with Typlhosion tho at level 50 to 60, you can with My boi Meganium tho lmao. Gold was my favorite, I had soloed all around lvl 50 with Meganium, Tyranitar (pre nerfs), Steelix, Ampharos, Espeon, and Gengar. Typloshion had power, but cant solo all of them especially when his 5/5 PP moves were spent destroying early battles and ineffective on Lance. Tyranitar when he first appeared I didnt know it existed lol. I caught a shiny Larvitar first try, didnt know he was shiny and when i evolved him into pupitar i thought he would be a rock bug type pokemon, i was way wrong lmao. I dont think back then people knew about him to abuse him, but now Tyranitar, my beloved, is now allergic to every other type of pokemon now which you cant even enjoy playing him anymore... I used to have those feeling in the video, but what they did to my pokemon leaves something distasteful in my mouth now...

Each Dragonite is different, tho. One knows Blizzard, another knows Thunder, & the other knows a fire type move(forgot which, I think Flamethrower or Fire Spin). Esp the two level 47's can throw you off if you're using a grass or water type, & don't know which is which(I forgot without Googling which Dragonite's know what move between the two 47's & one 50). I'm currently playing with a Crystal emulator app, & have all 3 Johto starters, & sometimes get slightly throwed off if I use Meganium against the one that knows the fire move & Blizzard, or Feraligatr against the one that knows Thunder. None of which effect Typhlosion, coincidentally the Blizzard is weak against fire typing. & I have Raichu, Gengar, & my own Dragonite, as well.

I’m crying about as bad as I ever have in 26 years of life. This is excellent. I know I’m late to the party but wow. This is so powerful and comical and brings me back to my childhood. I’m sure I’ll be even worse after I watch the rest of your Pokémon videos. Thanks for eliciting these emotions. We need these positive feelings right now with what’s going on in the world. Brilliant storyline. The way that Dragonite opened Ho-Oh's mouth and spit thunder in it for the KO was the best part for me. Earned my sub for sure!

Hey Pedro I hope you see this comment despite how late it is. I just recently started watching these animations, starting with red vs gold and every time they make a plausible story that pulls heartstrings. I love seeing the animation skill improve over time! Keep it up please!
