This battle was when you begun to realise that there’s a little more strategy and thought required to beat this game than in any main-series game double battle. Easily the most underrated of the Cipher admins.

Can we just talk about how shocking it must have been for a kid playing this game for the first time in 2004 to know that legendaries aren’t used by NPCs (aside from the Battle Tower) only to see the message “CIPHER ADMIN DAKIM sent out ENTEI!”

I remember Espeon putting in so much work for me in this game! I’ll never forget that head twist as she prepared for that Psybeam! 😂

My espionage by the end of this game ended up being a valuable member on my Ruby Version. That power..... God damn

The battles in this game are so much better than the new games. I would love for this style to come back.

Dakim has to be the chaddest Pokemon villain of all time. You're forced to battle when someone sees you, but this guy just says no. Just straight up refuses to battle. Punches the guy out. Imagine if you tried to battle the bad guy trainer and he just punches you out instead.

I can't believe that I still have those Entei, Raikou, and Suicune from these games. All with good natures in my Pokebank. Just waiting for it to open, so they can move to Alola. These mons have seen a lot..

dude i have so many pokemon from this and XD and the 3rd gen games that have seen so much since so much since these games. its amazing to see the ribbons and stuff to show how much of a vet you are with playing these games lol

This game was intense. Spent hundreds of hours playing over and over again.

I love this game so much, this and Gale of darkness are pretty much my childhood

Dakim has got to be one of the craziest looking vg characters I've ever seen lol. Like what even is Dakim, he barely looks human lmao. He's so goofy-looking I just love it lol.

I remember when i was 12 trying 100 times to capture entei while stomping the floor.

The music orchestra for this game was just so perfect it cannot be matched.

i think CIPHER is my favorite villain team ever, they had the best music too of any pokemon game

This game was unforgiving when it came to boss battles. Its like they perfectly designed and placed the pokemon youre able to snag to be direct counters to the enemies pokemon so they can desemate you, and on top of that be nearly a dozen levels above you at the same time. Evice is probably the hardest boss in any pokemon game ive ever played, i had to grind for HOURS to be able to get past that fucking slaking and that skill swap..

I remember thinking "wait, this guy has an Entei?!"

I remember this moment oh so well (I was very young), none of my Pokemon could hold out against his Earthquake's and Shadow Entei's Shadow Rush. I ended up putting the game down and haven't played it in years, then I somehow lost/misplaced it. Some months ago (more older and more experienced) I re-purchased this game and took me some time to beat Dakim (level-griding just enough to squeek by), now I'm able to beat this guy with relative ease in re-matches.

In all the years I played this game I never knew about that glitch, and all the tears it would've saved me as a child

I love how the evil team are competent and not complete idiots even the manga dudes a boss really hope they come back

I like the choice of team here, plusle medicham and qwilfish mainly :) I just love people who use pokemon thta aren;t seen too often :D

Is no one going to discuss how monstrously tall Dakim is? I am bad with calculating stuff like that but I would really like to know how tall he actually is, since we know the height-ish of Wes. I love this game. Very underrated and I still sometimes find myself playing through it. Great video!

Man I remember when I played through this in the story mode..I could of had all the legendary three but then I couldn’t get Raikou :( I accidentally killed him before I could capture him.

You have other another opportunity in the final area and then in the post game if you haven’t gotten that far yet

All 3 of these battles can catch you off guard so you have to he prepared

Catching Shadow Entei is a major pain. I eventually gave up. And decided to catch him during the Realgame Tower battle, which I succeeded in.

I wonder how Blaze herself would fair against Dakim? Being both fire elementals. And Dakim is also of the Earth element in a sense too, so I'm curious on how that would work myself.

I've been training in pyrite town most of the time and I'm not sure if I can remember this, but I think I was training at the phenac stadium as well I think..

Dakim looks like a bootleg Akuma

With Golem you can so tell that's just the Pokémon Stadium model, with a lot of them you can. The Gen 3 models look so much better. Also I wish there was a manipulation for Entei we could figure out, he's so hard to catch I don't even bother.

Dillon Oxenreider the way I usually try to catch entei first fight is to grab a few time balls and have smoke screen to lower his accuracy. Then drag out the battle for as long as possible. When I think entei is about to faint or I’m about to lose the battle then I throw it. Of course this is hard to do because you have to be careful not to damage him too much and dakim’s earth quake took him out a few times. But the only other strategy is to stock up on balls and just keep trying every round. You’ll get it eventually.

Dakim is so giant it's honestly funny. Also where did they come up with the name "Dakim" anyway?

It's funny that the Pokémon animations are great but the trainer animations are for the most part laughably bad.
