For anyone not aware, there's a static encounters rule in nuzlockes where you are allowed to obtain them even if they are not the first encounter on the route, Eg. The overarching rule of Nuzlockes is basically "your run, your rules" - some people use rare candies to revive to make it a bit easier, some don't use items or pokemon centres. Basically beyond the first pokemon rule and the fainting = dead rules everything else is up to you.

As a kid I thought bubblebeam was a crazy powerful move because of its sound effect. Kind of in the same vein as hyper beam, which actually is powerful. Then I played the gba remake and was very sad at the lackluster sound effect and animation.

The reason as to why Ant keeps running into Glitched 'Mons and Ultima Trainers whenever he picks up Pokeballs, is because non-essential NPCs were taken off the map but the register is still there. Pokeballs actually count towards NPCs that give you the item then disappear once the item has been achieved. Apostrophy M (Glitched symbols 'M Gliched Symbols) For those of you who don't know what 'M is, 'M is often called the "sister" glitch counterpart to MissingNo, as they share a sprite and pokedex number. The reason as to why 'M appeared is because Ant's name is custom, and therefore the invalid symbol 0x00 is called upon. As long as the character's name is customized, it can always appear at level 0, but can appear higher if the player's name has an odd number of characters in it. Yes, i used Bulbapedia for this. No, I'm not ashamed for pulling its information from it because it was formed from people who pulled the game apart. bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/%27M_(00) for the link Edit: The reason the Cycling Road Guard doesn't pull you back sometimes is because when holding B and walking into that space, if you just hold B and Left, your character walks one step closer to the gate. It only triggers if you're going from the space just before the guard, into the flag to check for your bike, but because you move two steps, and the guard only pulls you back one, you re-gain true control on the square in front of the guard, not prior to it, and can pass through as the flag is the step between "Prior to the guard" and "The guard's line of sight". To put it simply, because hitting B makes you run, and R/B/G/Y is held together with String, Hope, and Sticky Tac, you can pass through. Half the logos on youtube and tumblr wouldn't even fit on a gameboy cartridge. Red and Blue are the reasons that Q&A TEAMS were created at nintendo. Fun fact: Red and Blue were when they had to get creative. Not using a piece of memory? "Repurpose it, we cant just leave it lying around" Only have a couple registers? Think about it. If you're not essential, you wouldn't be around to need keeping out, because you're staying home. If you _are_ essential, you'll know to keep out of the cave, unless you're supposed to go in there on official business. This is Gen 1. Physical/Special was based on type before Gen IV. That would have limited him to only Fire, Water, Grass, Electric, Psychic, Ice, and Dragon type moves.

I thought of a challenge where the pokémon cannot use any moves that make contact. I call it the socialocke and it's actually sorta hard in the early game but to take it to the next level you could quarantine a pokémon if it gets hit by a contacting move until the next gym. it adds difficulty and is a pretty fun challenge in general

What about the contact moves always create a poison/status effect to just your Pokemon?

"Essential trainers and criminals" is really killing me...so true to life

People in chat saying ‘do a minimum captures run’ have obviously never seen him do a single Pokemon run through.

That's not a thing. The Master Ball bypasses the catch formula entirely. It's an automatic success.

The moment Ant left his house he failed the run. He is a trainer who didn't stay home!
