DP was also good at story telling(ash and paul rivalry), character development (Dawn's losing streak, chimchar becoming brave) and breath taking action scenes (paul vs ash, team galactic and Hunter J). Yep. Sure his Charizard was too strong but it was established to be a powerhouse early in XY through the Mega Evolution Acts plus this fight also work for Alain's story arc. Out of all of the people who beat Ash in the anime, he's currently the only one who I'm fine with eliminating Ash in the final round. Plus he admits to Ash that he's the better trainer compared to himself at the end of the series.

@@cricocadazzle4439 Eh, I dunno. That Charizard was a bit OP-ed. Even with Sheer Power, it took a bunch of hits from both Pikachu and Greninja. While Pikachu was exhausted, Greninja only got hit a few times. Despite what I positively said about them, I just think that the amount of damage given and taken was my problem with the victory or alike. And this goes for other battles. :)

@@dnmstarsi I think the problem that the anime makers face is the fact that in the logic and rules of the games(which these are based off of), A pokemon a good few levels over another can knock out an enemy pokemon in one or two moves(depending on effectiveness). If it's more even, it would still only take around 3-5 hits from a normally effective move for one pokemon to go down and take 1-3 hits if the move is super effective, even if the pokemon it's being used on is a few levels higher. Most battles should be a lot shorter than they end up being but I think Ash vs Alain in particular was easier to see just because of how much we were all focusing on it, and how long it was.

Gen 6 was just a better gen 4 fr. Team Flare and Lysander were a better galactic and Cyrus. Talonflame is better than Starfaptor and best of all Kalos starters better than Sinnohs.

Z-A is from past so Ash greninja is not possible but maybe the original Battle Bond Greninja shown in Ninja Village will be in story.

Ironically after Gen 6, Gen 7 gameplay and difficulty became better than in Gen 6, but after the XY series ended the SM series took its place and... well, it's worse, but at least it has some good moments but SM series will never beat the XY series.

It's crazy how this video here is pretty much the closest we'll get to hearing the official version of the lyrics to this song on KZread! Every other upload of XY & Z I've seen is either sped up/slowed down, has the tone pitched higher/lower, or gets removed real quick (they know how popular this theme is...!). So I'm glad you made this recreation!

Xyz had such a good soundtrack. I miss this 😢.

If they ever Remake the XY games, I want them to explore more on Bond Evolution for the starters and if possible other Pokémon ins Kalos and other regions.

These were the best three series man omg, Serena, Ash, Clement, Bonnie, Greninja HOLY FUCK I MISS THIS BRING THEM BACK ESPECIALLY THIS ASH, SERENA AND CLEMENT AND GRENINJA

For those comparing XY and SM, there isn't really any point comparing Shonen/action vs slice of life/family They're both great in their own ways. And we can all agree (Japanese) pokemon music is always top tier

SM is good, but I think pokemon fans prefer adventure rather than slice of life. Journey tried to incorporate both and did well in certain things and bad in others

u know i never like xyz bc it overshadowed sun and moon, which was my first game and anime. its was the series that got me into pokemon. but after watching it, its completely understandable that so many people like it. its tied in first place with sun and moon for me now :)
