I’m surprised Drayton wasn’t the other boyfriend in this playthrough. the story may be over but there’s actually still a lot you can do! you can invite gym leaders and teachers to the elite club room (and battle and trade with them) and you can get some BP to upgrade the biome so you can run into starter pokemon. PLUS! team star has a really cute segment at the school! and after that, you can find Atticus at Porto Marinada auctioning some awesome clothes :) definitely worth checking some of that out

just for clarification we didnt screw with the timeline by giving him the book; basically its a paradox because we had to give him the white book or else the entire events of pokemon violet wouldnt have happened and if the events of violet didng happen we wouldnt have gotten the white book to give to him in the first place. What a shocking ending for a pokemon game of all things!

I'd like to think that he may have used our own experience there to imagine up everything in the Underdepths, kind of like how the book likely is what creates the Paradox pokemon through the power of imagination. Geeta finds a disk in Area Zero, one that can store memories of an event. Then, we used the indigo disk on the lab's elevator to experience the Underdepths and Terapagos. Briar wrote the book, and we gave it to him. The cycle repeats. Still a paradox, but includes all that weirdness about imagined pokemon coming to life. That's just a thought though, not at all true.

I'm so happy you finally got a shiny, but you also made me panic! Garganical learns explosion at level 60, so I was terrified it was gonna go boom! Edit: Also, Kieran is my baby. Kieran is my son. I will protect him with my life.

I also want to say, if you get a crit in the battle against Kieran and Terapagos, he has special dialogue. Specifically, he says "How can you get critical hits, even at a time like this... What are you, the hero of this story?!" And I think that's really neat. He's so angry. Also, Terapagos is babey. Actually fun fact- when you're in the lab at the lighthouse during the main story of Scarlet and Violet, after talking with the professor the screen shows what looks like a Zelda Rupee. The exact same color and shape as Terapagos' body- that Zelda Rupee looking thing. I didn't realize until a recent playthrough of Scarlet that that was the case, but it is!

@@byronlee991017 i felt the same way!! i sprinted back to the school to talk to him. i really enjoyed his final line of dialogue acknowledging the violet book as a bunch of good memories between us. it felt like him effectively letting go of his anger and resentment towards his father. he replaced all the negative memories tied to that book with his chosen family!

The graphics really don't do the game justice and it's WILD that we're saying that about a pokemon game, like... They HAVE money

@@UltraBall23 I find it hard to believe that the people at POKEMON didn't have a vision and talent. Scarlet and Violet works because the vision is quite clear, they have huge teams working tirelessly. My theory is, Sword and Shield didn't do as well as they hoped, they needed to make a big swing and they needed it fast. They released this game before it was ready knowing they ould just add downloadable patches later on, but even still, it was way too ambitious and it just wasn't ready on time. For one of the biggest franchises ever to have this many technical issues, I think it was just poor financial planning and not giving enough time. Just the fact that you can't costumize your outfit like previous 3D pokemon games feels like "the idea was that you could, but we had way to much to work on, so fuck it, custom face and uniform"

Fun fact: if you play as a female, Drayton literally asks you on a cafeteria DATE instead of just a chat. Carmine gets pissed at him and protective of you, but helps you get ready for it. I was really wondering if this also happened with a male protag but I guess not. He just asks you to go to the cafeteria and that’s it. I just thought it was an interesting thing to point out. Edit: nevermind, it happens to everyone, I guess the video just skipped it? For some reason? I just find it funny that they don’t even ask you. You just go on the date and protag is like “aight cool. See you later, toothpaste man I just met.”

After a dlc and a half dealing with her boyfriend's mental breakdown, the revelation that my character accidentally ruined her other boyfriend's life by giving his parent the book hit like a T R U C K.

This whole academy felt so dystopian like it was so uncomfortable 😭

How did you get there? It literally tells you the plane lands in Unova. You then take an underwater train that drops you off at a station with an elevator that takes you to the BB Academy entrance area. Not all mustard is spicy, but compared to mayonnaise, ketchup, and marmalade, it is. In combination with those other ingredients, I don't think you'd honestly even taste the mustard. But it would add to the spiciness.

Gotta be so honest, the DLC was actually hard for me! 😭😭 I’ve been playing pokemon since like, I was 10, and the DLC has been a rather good challenge for me, but I have been humbled so many times its lowkey embarrassing 💀💀

1:42:23 in a roundabout way, this Turo does remember Miraidon. “Iron Serpent” is it’s name, following the pattern of all the other Violet Paradox Pokémon being named Iron “x”. In Scarlet, the same event plays out, except Sada name drops Koraidon’s name as “Winged King”, again following a more primal naming scheme to the Scarlet paradox mons.

i swear to god it took me at least 2 times to defeat each elite four member. i’m so bad at doubles. i made sure to severely strategize before facing kieran because i couldn’t stand to watch that annoying freak win against me. i’m angry at pixels. anyways i got his ass. best part of the DLC

Tip for Drayton's challenge: Catch yourself a Milcery and evolve it to Alcreamie. Teach it Decorate. Catch another pokemon as a sweeper. I went with Lapris. Give them XP candies until you're satisfied. Alcreamie's Decorate will boost your sweeper so high, it'll plow through the whole challenge. I went through the trouble of preparing a whole team of 6, carefully selected, moves adjusted, and leveled, only to use Alcreamie and Lapris the whole challenge. Big waste of time and XP candies.

You should have brought Ogerpon against Carmine and Kieran. Their reactions are gold.

Pokémon saying their names is main anime exclusive. It would be like having a dog and calling it a Woof because of the sound it makes. I think Amarys is supposed to be like a reference to how naming conventions in the anime work.
