The fact that she tries to call over a Champion to battle you is possibly foreshadowing to a returning character who was or is a Champion in a future DLC (if there are more DLCs after Crown Tundra or old characters return in the Crown Tundra DLC). Possibly being Cynthia and/or Lance, due to the possible Sinnoh and Johto remakes

@@potatoginger7367 Actually there's a good chance we ARE going to get "Let's Go" remakes of Johto. 1. Let's Go Pkiachu & Eevee are a thing (even though FRLG already existed as remakes of Kanto) 2. Sinnoh and Johto have some sort of connection with each other, based on the Sinjoh Ruins and the lore between Unown and Arceus. That and HGSS came out in Gen 4. 3. Based on the recent Pokemon Present, if you pay close attention to the background you see a lot of plushies of Johto Pokemon, specifically the Johto Starters, Legendary Beasts, Espeon, Umbreon, Slowpoke, Lugia, and Ho-Oh. They always hint to the next games based on what they put in the background of directs.

I like to imagine that the champions did try to go to Galar but they were all stopped at the border because they all had Pokémon that weren’t in the Galar Dex with them

You know it's an awesome Galar battle if the opponent has six Pokémon instead of 5 or less.
