Larry doesnt even realize what he just said to the player is what makes him likable. He shows both humility (calling himself an average joe despite being both a gym leader and elite four member) and charity (is concerned for the player and wants to help them)

Anyone noticed Geeta only shows disapproval in Larry based on her reaction/gesture compared to the others?

If I had to make a guess that isn't based on bad faith, she's concerned that the player character may strive to be like him. She knows Larry a lot as she is his boss, and Larry had said himself that Geeta tends to tell him to cut back on overtime. But weird thing is, is that it's known that he's also unmotivated, could get lost in thought to concern others, or fall asleep whilst standing. He's not necessarily a person you want to strive to be when it comes to fulfilling ambitions, however he is still a very relatable and thus a likable character.

It makes sense. When you face Tulip again she mentions that her & Geeta’s style and auras are similar

I love how most of them are openly flattered, Grusha appreciates it but is embarassed... And then you have Larry, whose response boils down to "But why?" followed immediately by offering advice for places to take a mental health break.

First you tell Geeta, Larry's your favorite Gym Leader. Next thing you know, Geeta offers you his position in the Elite Four.

​@@chusy1269 am pretty sure that doesn't actually change,cuz Geeta herself does acknowledge nemona as the strongest,but she's still the top champion,which means it's kinda rigged and neither the mc nor nemona are getting that spot Although nemona doesn't want to be one

@@kannan07 even with the new dialogue I always got the impression that Geeta is still Top Champion because she's accepted the administrative responsibilities that come with the title, while the other champion rank trainers didn't edit: either that, or since her actual title, La Primera, translates to "the first", it means she's the founder of the current Paldea league, which doesn't preclude tying too many responsibilities to the title, but does increase the likelihood that those who beat her would be willing to forego taking up the mantle

The moment the camera zoom in as she said those word, I know this dialogue means a lot for us later on 😂

No, I only picked Iono. The rest are just text and font editing. All text used on this video are real and this is what they said in game if picked as favorite. Game text script has been shared on twitter and also some pic has been shared too.

I can’t remember exactly which one between Kofu, Grusha, and Tulip I picked, but they were the three I gave positive reviews for. I’ll have to call them each over eventually to refresh my memory lol Point is, Kofu was great. Funny guy that left an impression :D

If I had to guess, the clips were submitted by people playing in different languages. It was probably hard to find the clips since almost everyone picked Larry.

I had to make multiple font and text transition editing since I only picked Iono. The text are scripted in game and this is what they all said.

Tulip seems to be her favorite, and she seems to like Ryme, too. In contrast, Ryme is quite combative towards her (which Geeta seems to like), and Tulip has mentioned that her issue with Geeta is that their auras and styles are too similar. Larry is a frequent source of headaches. She can't get him to stop taking overtime, she has to con him into taking vacations, and he's too quiet.

What the heck?!, I had no idea Geeta had a unique gesture for every favorite you pick and she actually had the audacity to shake her head at you choosing the great everyman Larry! She laughs at you for picking the rapper and she says "I agree" if you pick the beauty model. Well I guess we see how her vain standards go.

Geeta's character artwork is beautiful, but her in-game model... they could have done it better

I think this video might have worked better if after the first time, you skipped La Primera's scene... it's almost the same every single time anyways... or just cut to her reaction scene only without the asking or "that's all the time I have left" It'd feel less like filler...
