Looks like an interesting build. Damage over time is tricky. Ive done a few builds which has always kinda confused me since they dont nessisarily crit. Its just all about scaling the DOT.

With the price of dragon fangs being 50ish , and nimis currently 75 ish, would you recommend skipping the ammy and going after the nimis first?

Following the budget setup. I'm new to soulrend and don't do much poison. Whats the best way to up single target damage. Mine is terrible lol. I have everything for the most part but still leveling.

It is just bad until you get up into the upper 80s and can start grabbing the large chaos cluster jewel

Noob here, is this a one button playstyle? Currently playing EHOTS lvl 100 deadeye and looking for something better for t17's.

I was looking into crafting a CWC staff with +3 (fire) Skill gems +2 all skill gems, and open prefix for crafting +2 support gems, to link an empower for +5, that would work for this build and should be even easier to craft with a chaos tag

Hi Mr Sub, caught you on stream but you were occupied and wanted to ask a question on this build. How do you get Malevolence to work with divine blessing. It's costing me 632 mana to cast it. Is there a trick i'm missing?

You can lower the level of divine blessing or also link it with a 20/20 inspiration support to reduce the cost. How much ES you have will depend mostly on the rolls of your Dark Seers.

Neat build! Around what level could I go somewhat shopping for this build and have it run after A10?

If the 3 soulrend amu replacable with somthing else? They are going for like 80+ divs

If you're inside the target, all the outgoing projectiles should hit one target too. There's some testing video using the Golden Rule on the wiki.

I just tested, you're right! I read somewhere that the outgoing can only hit once but that's wrong. With that said, it was _very_ hard on a regular sized boss to get all projectiles to hit. With 10 proj I was getting 3-4 poisons on outgoing only on average per cast so I'm ok with a conservative setup in PoB. Good to know though thanks!

Am i missing something here? How do you get to level 31 soulrend? 21 gem, +4 weapon, +1 CoF, +3 amulet.... where's the other level coming from?

I don't understand the Immutable Force if you are using awakened CWC. It should give you stun immunity while channeling.

Yeah, caustic arrow would make sense with that tree, you get enough respec points if u do all the quests to even pick up DoT bow trees on the way (Aspect of the Eagle, Hunter's Gambit, Farsight) early on.

You can't. Just level a ranger however you like, I recommend poisonous concoction.

Yes. Budget. Simulacrum is very easy compared to t17. This is a t17 farmer.

Ok so are you using a + 3 chest or something? How are you getting to level 31, 2x dark = 4 + 3 from the amulet that 7 +a 21 gem that's level 28.

In the budget build you have the "count" for soulrend at 3, but the high budget version it is 30. Can you explain how this works and why it is such a big difference please

3 is way too low, I think I was being mega conservative in that pob just to guard against people saying I was padding the numbers. The real calculation is: Returning projectiles has 60% less damage. So if you shoot out 5 proj the count is 5 + (5 * 0.4 rounded down) = 7 With nimis you get full damage per projectile and we are also using gmp and dying sun (which is 6 more stacks alone since we get 3 proj with flask effect and double hits) so you can see how quickly it stacks up.

@@subtractem hmmm ok. just had a big drop so can afford a nimis now. may go for that upgrade. Adjusting my pob from 3 to 7 is a huge difference in damage going from 5.9mil to 13.5mil without nimis

I wonder If it’d even be worth attempting this kind of build in SSF. I’m a wayyyyyys off from getting ANY of these high level uniques Playing Archmage and T17s are such a pain for where I’m at rn and all I want to do is even attempt Ubers to try these new uniques. I picked it to get more CDR for frostblink, you'd specifically not want to put any manual cast skills in there so the Flame Dash never triggers.

I am, but you're not _always_ channeling so a cheap jewel is a good way to just make it more comfortable when you do end up walking a bit. It's not mandatory at all though.

Craft +1 to chaos skill gems and +1 to level of all skill gems. it's going to be worse because minus one to level of soulrend and no mana reservation eff, but u can anoit it or use base jewels

I was thinking about that, sadly it's just too far away so you're looking at either skin of the lords or the mana stacking body armor...which just nukes our phys taken as. If you could swing a skin and get an insane triple phys taken as watchers eye...could be neat.

say i was crafting an oscillating scepter to mid max damage.......what would be the best mods from best to worst....ie = dam over time multi\flat chaos\attack speed etc..

About 5000-7000 chaos to get started. You can make about 1000 chaos an hour selling incursion temples with little investment.

Yeah I'm playing a similar build and using annhilation's approach boots. Please note that while your health will sit at 1 in your hideout, you can die in both the graveyard and mining encampment (and probably the other league zones as well). I've died a couple times in the graveyard because I forgot to turn off my boots and got distracted on my second screen.

you can unspec Herbalism if you rly dont like pressing life flask. that is -10% life though >

I considered that but for pushing the budget poison dps i really needed something to level up the soulrend gems. i tried some funny things with channeling incinerate and other spells and the grasping vines boots for more poison but Cyclone just felt so much comfier to get around with (also we get the poacher's mark life on hit which is nice).

I simply have horrifying memories of being slam blasted out of existence because I got stuck in Cyclone animation way back in the day :P Let's hope that one day GGG gives us a cool casting channel spell. (One of my fav builds every was an Incinerate Volatile Dead Chieftain - wasn't super effective, but so much fun to play.)

Looks like a fun build. Funnily enough pob doesn't show my watchers eye "10% of Physical Damage from Hits taken as Fire Damage while affected by Purity of Fire" in the Damage Taken Calc. 😅 I would hope it does the same thing as the mods for purity of elements.

I tried making it with spending, oh say 70 odd div, and while it is strong, to get comfortable would cost me much more, and at this point, I'm thinking, maybe this league is good for now and I will try other builds come next league.

Dragonfang was 1 divine when I made the video as I showed and I warn about prices changing after the guide is posted. You can graveyard craft something just as good with a little effort. Progenesis and Nimis are explicitly in the high investment version, yes.

some of the configs are a bit cope, like sap, if its a t17 mapper and the ms isn't fast, its painal. rest is decent

I would argue that Sap is up much of the time for when it matters considering we're trying to stand under the enemy when Cycloning. definitely won't be active for ranged enemies usually but for most bossing and rares it'll be up.
