Note, worth mentioning: Ungoro Crater itself is the volcano youre talking about. It's not the volcano in the center of the zone. The entire zone is a caldera for the supervolcano underneath it.

Note 2: In Emerald Nightmare the volcano is replaced by a world tree, and since Un'goro was a blueprint for shaping the planet there could have been plans to have a world tree there that were later scrapped by Freya.

I love this more chill format for Pointless Top Tens. My Sunday routine is to watch this with my coffee and breakfast before getting on with my chores for the day. Very relaxing way to start.

Crendor, i can't believe you haven't done pointless top 10's: pointy things yet. That would be a fun one, just anything pointy from swords to spikes on buildings.

I like how Crendor mentions you can tell number 4 is from the Dragonflight expansion because it has, "...such good looking lava," even though I would argue numbers 5 through 9 all had better looking lava in terms of graphical fidelity of the lava itself.

I gotta say, I didn't even know there were 10 volcanoes in the game :| Thanks Crendor!

Firelands was one of the few standouts in cata. Innovative content, pretty fun, good theme.

Molten Front was awesome, truly. At the time it was truly amazing. You could choose the daily path and it had so much innovative content for 2011. Firelands was a great Raid. I have nothing but fond memories of 4.2.

I'm surprised you didn't put the Lost Isles volcano at number 1 considering its the most volcano-y out of all the volcanoes, then you also get to watch it erupt and cover the island in lava rivers and falling molten rocks, it really does deserve the number one spot.

The pointless top 10 rankings do not adhere to conventional ranking criteria.

My favorite is the first one since I used to fly passed that shit with the flight paths and always be like wtf is that! Then forget to actually check. The mystery was really neat.

I thought the Obsidian Citadel area in the Waking Shores was going to be Number 1. By the way it's funny you mention the Ashenvale volcano. The other day I was flying by doing the midsummer fires thing and all of a sudden I see this big dude atop the mountain. It's quite a sight and I had completely forgotten about him!

I bet that Un’Goro would be first because of the temperature quest! Yesss

No idea if this was mentioned in another comment, but the volcano in the goblin starting area, back in the PTR, it wasn't Deathwing that caused it to erupt. It was the player character. That ball you were kicking around that the quest giver put a little extra in, when you kicked it between the goal posts, it went into the volcano and THAT caused it to erupt. I was bummed when they changed it because that was amazing.

So glad you're doing these videos again! Slight suggestion would be saying what era of WoW the thing is in (or when it was added if you can find that), but just glad to see these vids again!

Genuinely surprised blackrock wasn't number 1.

Technically speaking a geyser is also a volcano. The only difference is that geysers spout water instead of magma.

I hate the Ashenvale volcano. One of those ugly things they did for Cataclysm that ruined the zone atmosphere that are still there 13 years later. Same for the stupid tornado in westfall.
