What the Chinese offered him, what he accepted and what he gave them access to. The FIPA agreement is the root of all the China problems now coming to light. China is a huge trading partner with Canada. The last time Trudeau attacked them head on, they stopped buying our agricultural products and that hurt many industries here at home. That’s the leverage. And it’s one of the reasons Trudeau has been running around the world chasing new markets. Which Poilievre has been calling “vacations” knowing full well what’s really going on.

I just recently saw that sound bite and couldn’t believe my ears and eyes. Reminds me of Joe Potatohead’s quid pro quo statement about the Ukraine funding that wouldn’t happen unless they got rid of that person that was investigating Burisma. Mind boggling

I like the way he speaks, using phrases like "we took immediate action," "we've spoken with top officials," and "we'll take care of it." However, it seems that no actual action has been taken. There are still police stations functioning and officials who have made threats remain in the Consulates. However, there has not been any public investigation into the matter of 11 candidates receiving funds. The Trudeau Foundation has not yet returned the money. And so on.

I am a card carrying Liberal. Not the biggest fan of Trudeau. Never have been. I don't agree with the majority of Conservative policies. However, with that being said, Trudeau's lack of strong leadership on this issue (Chinese foreign interference) as well as the return of ISIS fighters will be his undoing. I also believe that the Conservatives have found a leader who "looks" and contorts himself in the mold of a Prime Minister. If they keep the social conservative wing of their party quiet (which Harper always did), this could be a Conservative landslide. I can honestly say, I am torn. I have never been a single issue voter. But goddamn if I'm going to let my fellow citizens be bullied or their families threatened. Especially an MP! If we don't stand up for our leaders safety then we expose our weakness.

Voters don’t seem to recognize that Pierre clearly has a Canada based goal whereas Trudeau and Singh are eyeing their seats on some world governing organizations. Canada is their springboard whereas PP, love him or hate him, sees a better Canada as his personal endgame. Politicians will always have selfish motivation. It’s your duty as a Canadian to pick the one who’s self-interested goal aligns with what’s best for the country. There is zero debate about who in the House of Commons represents that goal. It’s PP. And to be honest I don’t think he can do half of what he talks about. But he can stop at least some of the bleeding and reel in our currently reprehensible government.
