POETS OF THE FALL - Dancing on broken glass (Official Video) | REACTION
/// ATTENTION! THIS VIDEO WILL BE AVAILIBLE IN HD 1080p WITHIN 60 MINUTES FROM UPLOAD! ///
First of all. I had NO idea what this song was going to be about. Then I started listening, and it sounded like your average love song about a breakup or whatever. I was CHOCKED when I understood the meaning of the lyrics. When she dropped that glass of wine, and threw up blood in the sink, it hit me straight in the face. That is SO SAD and my heart is broken. What did you think about this song and video? Comment below!

This group is from Helsinki Finland they have been around like 20 years. They have had nine albums since 2005 this single came out in 2018. I enjoyed this somewhat dark song and lyrics about a serious subject❤

Known and loved them for more than 15 years. And this is not even their best song so saddle up, cause you are in for one hell of a ride! :D I love it when people discover them and your reactions are priceless.

I suggest Poets of the Fall "Angel" from the Alexander theater sessions. Hits you right in the feels.

Actually ANY Alexander session is a good choice. I particularly think the Dreaming Wide Awake version of Alexander sessions showcases the insane musicianship of these guys.

Welcome to the rabbit hole that is Poets of the Fall. So glad they were randomly picked (although I don‘t believe in coincidence). Should you decide to check out more of their wonderful music, poetic lyrics, and elaborate videos, be prepared for a journey. They celebrated their 20th anniversary last year, and they also have a (metal) alter ego band called Old Gods of Asgard that is worth checking out as well. I was impressed when you said you detected a slight accent, because their lead vocalist Marko was raised bilingually and is a native speaker of both Finnish and English - and of course pronunciation while singing is always slightly different from speaking. You didn‘t know what the song was about, and your reaction was genuine, thank you for that. 🙏 May I just suggest to turn down the piano music during the final part of your videos (not sure if you always play it while reviewing a video) - it was a bit irritating and distracting, I would‘ve preferred to just listen to your comments afterwards.

Dear David, you don't have to apologize. At first it looked like a love song and somehow it is. 🖤🩶🤍 I know Poets of the Fall from Carneval of the Rust, but not this song. I am familiar with this topic and can therefore understand the double edge of this song. It's tragic💔, but at the same time the greatest declaration of love.💕 Love doesn't end with death. It can be the driving force to keep going, to enjoy and appreciate this unique life. The remaining time together spend even more laughing, dancing and loving with the one you love. It's so precious and all that remains stay deep in the heart and in memory. Thank you for your emotional and honest reaction, stay as you are. Blessings and greetings💫🫶

I love Poets of the Fall...Heal My Wounds is another beautiful song from them. These Patreon requests are a true spectrum of emotions!! We worry about so much trivial stuff.. We are all familiar with the phrase.. LIFE IS SHORT..sometimes we forget the meaning of those words.. Thankyou David..you're dedication despite your workload is inspiring.Truly!! Take care..stay safe. Ciao bello!!! ❤🤗

Thank you so much for the reaction and for introducing this song to me. I love POTF, but had not heard this song before. Very powerful, when you understand the meaning at the end. Please do check Carnival of rust by them. It was released in 2006 and it is so beautiful and the video is fantastic. I`m sure you`d like it a lot. You were right about the accent. They are Finnish.

If you've ever played a Remedy game, Max Payne, Alan Wake, Control, Quantum Break etc. etc. etc. then you have heard Poets of the Fall.

Not quite. Poets of the Fall are not actually featured in Quantum Break. They were going to be featured but due to behind the scenes issues their song Labyrinth didn’t make it into the game.

@@GivenToeMax Payne 2 featured ”Late Goodbye” which was their first and immediately successful song as Poets of the Fall. Alan Wake features ”Poet And The Muse”, ”Children of the Elder God” (by Old Gods of Asgard aka Poets of the Fall), and ”War”(by Poets of the Fall). Control features ”Take Control” by Old Gods of Asgard (plays during the Ashtray Maze part) and ”Dark Disquiet” (a Poets of the Fall song). Alan Wake 2 has an entire chapter featuring Poets as Old Gods of Asgard - when you get to the musical section you’ll recognize them, they’re also in-game characters. These are all the Poets-related songs featured in Alan Wake 2: Herald of Darkness - Old Gods of Asgard feat Matthew Porretta and David Harewood Heroes and Villains - Poets of the Fall Dark Ocean Summoning - Old Gods of Asgard Anger’s Remorse - Old Gods of Asgard Take Control - Old Gods of Asgard Balance Slays the Demon - Old Gods of Asgard Children of the Elder God - Old Gods of Asgard The Poet and the Muse - Old Gods of Asgard The Happy Song - Poets of the Fall Time to replay those games and enjoy I’d say 😉😁
