PART II of a new interview with former U.S. Poet Laureate, Billy Collins, author twelve books of poetry, including his latest, Musical Tables--a collection of 125 "small poems" (Random House; 2022).
In this second episode of our two-part interview, Collins talks about his father's sense of humor and influence on his poetry, the type of reader he has in mind when he writes, and reveals some of his favorite things--and more! Collins also reads "No More" from his collection, Aimless Love, as well as a selection of small poems from Musical Tables.

    Thank you, Mihaela! I thought he would plug the dog book too. But I guess it’s because he’s promoting Musical Tables now, a book with Random House. I believe the dog book will be a very limited printing with another publisher. Such a gift he gave us with this interview. I’m just so grateful to Billy-and to the CPNP! Onward to World Poetry Domination! Hehe 😉

    Thank you, Joe. Yes, I desperately wanted to keep him on, but I could see he was getting tired. He gave so much, and every sentence he spoke is a keeper. I’m so grateful for every second he gave us. Hopefully he’ll come back on again someday! 😊
