I had a level 40 hiero kicking around on standard and was able to test the 4-link ball lightning swap, and I'm pleasantly surprised. The skill feels pretty great to play. Can't wait to league start this.

I really wanted a pew pew caster build they are so rare thank you! And I love that you move into the main skill early! I don't often get too far in maps and many builds don't even swap to primary skill until maps!

What support did you use instead of pinpoint now? Since you said its not that good in the other video.

what do you think about kinetic blast of clustering? it has 'deals added physical damage equal to 15% of your maximum mana'. kinetic blast totem maybe? lol

Shavronne's Revelation on the right ring slot is an early-to-endgame option as a ring if you have low enough mana costs or instant-leech; typically just a couple chaos and if you can deal with the no mana regen downside it can be near-bis for most manastack builds. 60-75 flat int, 250 flat additional mana, and 6% ES regen/second at level 30 is no joke; for Mana RF especially. Since it's cheap you can also get some broken corrupted implicits on it at low-budget(discipline/whatever aura effect, % int, etc)

So if i go for the dual wielding strat and leap slam, i want to have an adds lightning damage to spells prefix on them right? I kinda like the leap slam movement, but would also want to go for the Ball as soon as possible.

Probably just going to go lightning from the get go. Storm blast mines with orb of storms for single with arc for clear.

for leap slam do you need to do the tech where you start ranger to get the support?

Since i'm not a main POE player and i find this archetype really cool , i have one question if someone can answer : Can i translate all this build with same passives, skills etc, but chance lets say ball lightning to the one that orbit around you or even Lightning Conduit of Storms with same setup ?

Just in case people don't know, orb of storms won't help your ele overload uptime as as ggg changed it recently to only apply to the skill that triggered it

Think this can work for arc if I switch out the aoe?

Is area damage not working a bug? or just one of those poe things that's intentional but not explained on the skill.

For the people that are interested,you can swap to archmage at 31 and its playable,obviously swapping later is better,but if you just cba and want to stack the blue stuff,youll be fine.

Yeah, I love builds you can take early. I hate doing the same cookie cutter stuff in the campaign every league. I wonder if that's why people go on about campaign skip, because they only level as splitting steel, arma brand etc

Cant wait to adapt this for my hc trade starter, using either crack lance or arc, or potentially something else secret but spicy!

I really want to try this build. Will the items be uber expensive? I can't see this build being cheap. Still a cool build.

I think lighting warp has a much better role playing fantasy 😅. Also maybe the destination control that it gives you would be helpful at some point?

U can push with Arc+Purifyng totem until swap to BL , i tested because i dont like to waste my time doing secondary quest for respect on League start ... and feel so good

@@rycan5145 arc + added lightning until u can use BL setup (if u want to stay with arc add Elemental focus ) and purifyng flame with faster casting and summon phantasm , i swap to BL around 45 - 50

I have a screenshot of your Hiero's skill tree at lv 94. Following it has gotten me to lv 75 on day 2. This league is rough man. 2.5k life, 2k ES, 3k mana. My gear is basically trash, but I'm sitting on 15k Ball Lightning Damage. Unlike when I play Ranger for example, I died a WHOOOOOLE lot less.

How is shield charge relevant?

There's nothing yolo about it, it's already working with old archmage now it's just going to be better and smoother

Looks like fun, I think I will leaguestart this and then switch to mjolner cwc once I have a bit of currency. That being said, since you’re leaguestarting a manastacker, had any thoughts on the viability of the new transfigured kinetic blast? Looked like it could be a powerful endgame map blaster (not so sure about single target).

doing this in SSF anyway. I guess getting a good chest piece for stats is pretty important before respeccing to 0 auras

If you dont like rolling magma, you can instead use absolution until lvl 38 .

4 acts with Rolling Magma big oof. I'll go with Absolution or some brands in A2/3.

That’s just for quick leveling, huge movement boost, after act X you have to change spells and drop shield charge.

Thanks for the content. Have you thought about Corrupted Soul so your incoming damage get's divided between 3 pools? ES / Life / Mana

Had it in mind yeah but getting constantly hit on your Mana might be rough. Will need some testing but in theory it's insane

What about sacred wisps for this? Seems like a perfect use case. Basically 25% more damage in mapping with more "clear" because the balls will be fired at an angle, and 50% more damage with rares and up.

must say going from rolling magma to balls seems like a big dmg downgrade, but im gonna trust this will kick off at archmage. Playing this cuz seems easy af to gear as an ssf
