Should you use a specific weapon to animate?

I think ima turn my failed witch into this got 120 div budget was sick of poison as that is what my main is right now ca. So lightning is up my alley, imagining the budget here is 200 div + so ill just have to do less which is fine. The helm fracture alone seems to be 40 div + hmmm. When is it better to swap to ashes over dragonfang?

As soon as you can afford the missing mana reservation. Ashes is BiS for AW builds because you get 3 additional weapons which is better than getting 1 additional weapon and +2 levels from Replica Dragonfang's. It also scales things like Offerings so it's easier to get blockcapped.

How does it work with animating? I threw guns on the ground and animated them. After the next port, the weapons are all gone?? Sry for the Questions

You're animating lingering blades from Bladefall and yeah screen changes cause the weapons to despawn.

​You're using the wrong gem. You need to use Animate Weapon of ranged Arms like in the PoBs. @@lexi0072

This is the end of 3.23. Even if I wanted to make another build LGs don't profit from those spectres nowhere near as much.

There's a passive tree progression and a skill guide for the first couple acts in the low budget, it's leveled as Absolution until Act 5.

Is this going to be as powerful for upcoming league 3.25 tomrrow? I did poison during affliction and loved it. But the new runes make me wanna try this lightning variant..

Not quite as powerful since the spectres will be nerfed a bit. However I still expect this to be one of the most powerful minion builds in 3.25.

@@sapheryPoE even at half the DPS I’d be ok I hated simmoning them during affliction but I think il do it. The AWs felt amazing for clearing even 15k wisp was easy then and we have that leech now excited to play minion again

Ranged better than melee with awakened multristrike?

Melee might deal slighty better equilibrium dps but both the clear speed and the dynamic dps (actual ingame dps including things like buffs/debuffs not being active or minions not attacking the boss for whatever reason) is better for ranged Animate Weapon.
