Thanks for the tips, having worked in commercial radio and on internet stations I got the chance to see the staggering differences between them. And I would like to add a warning to one more commun mistake that many people make: 1:-Write what you will say. many people believe that professional broadcasters talk spontaneously, with no preparation, no research and no experience, very few do, and that is after many years of experience under their belt, and the syndicated ones have a team of people doing the research and typing it for them, so at least write the subject of your show, the general idea, or the bullet points of it, or be frustrated before the mic, and spend endless hours recording doing it over and over!

OMG Thank you for this. I teach my students how to outline their episodes and write scripts. I have encountered some many people telling me that they don’t want structure. They want more off the cuff, organic content, and I’m like 🤔. Thank you Damian. Can I share your comment on my social media?

Your giggles in between made my day 😂. I honestly struggle if the sound doesn’t work for me or if someone’s voice isn’t soothing. That’s probably because I listen to most podcasts in bed before falling asleep. I just launched my podcast and am really hoping people are not too irritated by my German accent or the occasional slip of tongue. Absolutely love all your content❤️. Thanks a bunch!

How do I make sure that my artwork and colors and title all work cohesively? Thank you! I was wondering if I should start the social media pages first. One of my sons is going to do that for me and manage it. I would like more info on exactly how to do that and start up in unison. I’m so lost but I’m going to try to do this right the first time thanks to you Veronica! How do I find out the pricing and info for your school?

The point of getting people to join a social media page for a podcast that doesn't yet exist for the goal of having all those people to launch it to is quite confusing. Like....HOW? Why would anyone want to join a social page for something that isn't even in existence yet? Things that make me go, "hmmmm?" Other than that big fat annoying mystery, I do like the rest of this video.

You can share social media post about your content and start engaging with your ideal audience on social media. I know it seems weird, but it works. Once again, I don't want you to get discourage. You don't need to have it all figured out you can learn as you go.

The more I research starting a podcast, the more annoyed, overwhelmed and defeated I feel. I haven't even started yet, but I'm at a point in the research where I'm feeling like this just is not for me. Nice concept though. But.... bla. Seems next to impossible on so many levels. Maybe I'll just build a youtube channel. Seems easier. IDK.

The most annoying thing about podcasters is making us listen to a long-winded introduction, stating the obvious -that's the podcaster loving the sound of their own voice. Like this one went on for over two minutes before getting to the content.. why I'm not going to watch the rest of the video get to it!

You should be creating a podcast for yourself. If you are creating it for anyone else, including your audience, it will be sterile and fake. That is a huge mistake.
