Thank you for this talk, i dont find much content with Sir Rush, so thanks ! I do have a question, what kind of greaze to hé uses for his Swimmers I did used a wetsuit this winter cause i was learning to swim. As a rookie, 5.6K water 8.8°C(2h30), 2K 6.9°(1h), 7.5K 11°C (3h16). I had no knoledge about nutrition, so i didnt feed This fall i ll do my best to start adaptation an nutrition as far as i can go I train, swim alone, i ll get a Friend in this Journey if i can as a safety/feeding crew

Not sure I agree with the body-fat issue of below 15%, especially for 15-17 degrees which is not overly cold. I have noticed very little difference being lean as to being higher body-fat (circa 17%). The one thing I do notice is being lower body-fat improves fitness/endurance which subsequently allows greater exertion for longer which is the best way to keep warm, in my opinion. I'm sure for very cold water like a North Channel swim (12-15 degrees) not being too lean is probably beneficial, despite there being no strong medical evidence of body-fat making much difference.

No strong medical evidence of body fat being insulating? I really disagree
