▸ Pobierowo - a picturesque seaside town in the Rewal commune in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. Located in a pine forest complex.
The information about the town in the history is interesting. One of the themes dates back to 1386. From the time of its existence, Pobierowo belonged to the von Kleist family until the 18th century, when the family decided to sell the property. At the beginning of the 19th century, the settlement began to lose its typically agricultural character. Due to the fact that the sea applied sand more often, which was reflected in the poorer fertility of the soil. In 1820, in the place of the peasants' settlements, Małe Pobierowo was established, while the other adjacent areas were renamed Nowy Pobierowo.
The beginnings of the functioning of Pobierowo as a tourist destination date back to 1907, when Frohreich decided to build the first Seeblick Hotel here. A butcher's shop and a bakery were built near the hotel. Around 1939, Robert Krauze, the owner of the settlement, handed over some of the forests to a German entrepreneur for the construction of holiday facilities. After the war, it was taken over by the "Employee Holiday Fund". Many company holiday centers were established here, belonging to workplaces all over the country.
In the years 1973-2003, the Military Unit no. 4126th which included the 71st Air Defense Missile Squadron. In 2003, the unit was divided and moved to the town of Mrzeżyno near Trzebiatów.
Pobierowo has a characteristic landscape layout. There is a beautiful sandy beach next to it, with a cliff edge of the "Rewal Upland". Above this cliff there are dunes with a beautiful pine forest, while the area of high dunes is filled with pine forest.
The town has a well-developed accommodation base. We can find here many thriving holiday centers, guesthouses, private accommodation, campsites and campsites. It is the perfect place to spend an active holiday. There is a permanent "Sun Academy", which organizes sports events for the whole family. Pobierowo belongs to one of the most attractive places on the Rewal coast. most of the town, where we can find the greatest number of gastronomic, service, commercial and entertainment outlets.
When visiting Pobierowo, it is worth seeing some interesting and attractive places, which include:
- House of Ewa Braun, a two-level villa, located in the forest at Grunwaldzka Street.
- Hotel Seeblick - corner of Grunwaldzka and Mickiewicza Streets, built in 1907, currently the building is owned by the University of Szczecin.
For people with an active lifestyle, I recommend two interesting hiking trails:
- "Western Liaison Route", 3.3 kilometers long, starting at Grunwaldzka Street and finishing in Pustków, Słoneczna Street.
- "Summer Pobierowa Trail" running from Jana z Kolna Street to Zgody Street, 5.5 km long.
