I love Maltz's groundbreaking belief system!! I have a copy of the original book. I believe it so much.

Also, just wanted to mention that The Path of Least Resistance by Robert Fritz (and his more recent book Your Life As Art) go together very well with this book, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

This is a really deep book. And it deserves, in my opinion, serious study and application. This is one of those books that "work", not by reading it and getting epiphanies, but by embodying its content. This book works "through you", not "to you".

Just read The New Psycho-Cybernetics twice in few days :D, amazing book

@@ruipedro4195 The New Psycho-Cybernetics is updated to nowadays by Matt Furey who is the president of the Psycho-Cybernetics Foundation. He kept most of the text as is with some comments when appropriate.

Just wanted to mention that in the book, Maxwell Maltz goes into a lot more detail on self-image so for those who have not already read the book, I would highly recommend it for a deeper understanding of just how important self-image is. It's so important, in fact, that (in the words of the author), "You will 'act like' the sort of person you conceive yourself to be. [...] you literally cannot act otherwise." (p. 3)

I agree. What other insights did you have?

I like how you compared the hypnosis that Maxwell Maltz spoke about it Psychocybernetics to the self image and domestication that was spoken about in 4 Agreements. This video is hella old but still relevant

I also like the clothes you wear analogy. This video is from 2009 but it's still a gem

@gowiemeister I believe this is just how things work. The popular (or mainstream, if you prefeer) is very bad, in general. You have to search in the trash to find some hidden treasures.

This book sounds really interesting, but I wish he had talked more about visualization and how we can use it more effectively.

Fashionbliss Exactly. And don't juge a book by its cover is : l'habit ne fait pas le moine, in French. You certainly know that 'persona' means 'mask' in Greek. So yes your habit are like clothes you wear and your 'personality' is like a mask which hides who you really are. Life is just a gigantesque theatre play isn't it ?
