No it’s not a shoulder charge because his Hands is wrapped around him but pine but it’s a tackle watch it closely it was not a shoulder charge

@@pilafalemaka8956 I cannot agree with your appraisal of the tackle. At no point does the Tongan player have one, or both of his arms wrapped around the ball carrier. As is clearly visible from the head- on camera angle, the Tongan's right arm is colliding with the left side of the PNG's torso, effectively barging the player out of play, and commiting an offence.

With all due respect, given the hype and build up the whole rugby league media gave to Tonga leading into the world cup, the Kumuls would have had to score tries that were to the letter of the law in order to beat Tonga. Tonga scored of a forward pass for their first try, had a clear knock on in the build up to the last try and denied two possible Kumuls tries (one using the foot to disturb the attempted grounding for Ipape in the 1st half and the illegal use of shoulder charge in the video shown). Anyways, all good RLWC, can't change what has already happened so we move on. PNG Kumuls mipla stap

If only they played at Aussie we'd get a better feedback from the video ref. The quality of camera used in wicked stadium was indeed weakened in lenses providing misleading judgment.

That was a regular try, or a penalty try at least. Video refs in the Australian NRL get it right nearly 100% of the time, but when they don't there is hell to pay! In the RLWC there are video refs from the UK as well. In any event, he looked at every angle so many times and still thought part of the ball was on the touch in goal. I like Andrew Voss' comment, "The ball isn't a house brick, you know, it's got a curved part". A great game of footy.

Absolutely on point a huge side step against the sliding defence would have been so sweet..... Anyways well done to every player who took part in the game. you do know that tonga was missing lot of their star players!!? Taumalolo,Masila, Hopoate, Koni, Havili, etc. If they were playing png would got smashed more. Tongas young players who replaced them for this game made lot of mistakes which allowed png to score some trys in tongas 5meter line. This game is been all Kumuls game..Tongans first try is a forward pass try and this try is definitely a try which has been denied by so call this video ref.Englanders and the organisation of this world cup has felt the taste of the kumuls..if this game is played in Australia this try would be allowed as a unique try..simply replace the vedio ref with an experienced person..same on you video ref

What a shame, the video ref replays the footage with his comments always mentioning all was ok in favour of the kumuls player and then makes a decision against the kumuls player.
