Hi, great video! A tiny correction, I think. The adjunctive steroids are recommend for patients infected with HIV while studies have failed to show an improvement of mortality in otherwise immunosuppressed patients.Otherwise great video!

Hey...if it lacks an ergosterol and is not affected by antifungal drugs,why classify it under a fungus instead of a protozoa???

Why would Corticosteroids as a RISK factor for PCP be even considered as a PROPHYLACTIC tx for PCP?

I think because CS are themselves immunosuppressants,so they make you to be susceptible if you used for long time. He said we can use them for tx in severe PCP not prophylaxis .For Prophylaxis we used bactrim
