Iit bombay has 2 types of fellowship for phd students can you please make a video on that.

As a PMRF fellow I must say that these informations will be very useful for the students. In my case when I apply I had no idea about these but luckly I got qualified.

@@itijain4259 No. It takes some times to start. There are many procedures and formalities cause your jrf fellowship (CSIR/HTRA/DST etc) will be converted into pmrf.

How they shortlist the candidates. I mean after I applied this PMRF then there is any test Or anything else for the shortlisting of the candidates. OR they shortlist only on the basis of GATE score.

You can apply for this fellowship through direct entry scheme but then you have to take admission in PhD within 2 years of getting it. But truth is that chances of getting into it is high for those who go via lateral entry scheme (after joining PhD)

Heads up to students worrying about research experience.. You don't need any research papers to apply for this.. once you have joined a PMRF granting institute with any sort of fellowship you are eligible to apply via the lateral entry channel.. If your institute likes your presentation your name will be forwarded..once that happens you have odds in your favor and most probably might be considered for the fellowship for that term

Your supervisor will be your guide and he will make sure you get this fellowship, he will definitely give strong recommendation

Noorul Sir, I had a question. You mentioned after MSc, PMRF will be granted for 4 years. According to the scenario, in India PhD takes 5 years minimum (finishing within 4 is extremely rare). So, what about after 4 years? Won't there be any provision for extension of the fellowship? 😢

For the first year you will get your normal fellowship.. After one year of your joining it will start..

Resume is kind of summary of your profile whereas CV is detailed, it contains all publications, research related academic details in an elaborated form.

It's for M.Sc students too, B.Tech/Masters means either B.Tech or Masters qualified. Plz check in the video

That depends on your institute in which you join. Coursework is like semester course just like you've done on masters but here things will be more practical based and concerned with research work

PMRF started from 2019 and was applicable since 2020 batch. Unfortunately it was not at the time I joined PhD

The CGPA criteria is mentioned in video, it depends you're applying through lateral or direct entry. Also the min CGPA criteria is 8.0. Plz check out in the video.
