    After the flaps are up, we usually press CLB/Con to change the Thrust limit. Also notice the Thrust went up to full GA Thrust when the Altitude was captured and the AT mode went from THR to SPD. Thanks for the instructional videos!

    Thank you! Was this an official procedure at your airline? In all of the FCOMs I have, this is not mentioned.

    @@A330Driver Our procedures say “After Flaps Up select FLCH / VNAV as required. Verify that climb thrust is set.” When you are already in Alt mode, FLCH does not activate as you tried in the video. When you select VNAV you will also close the spd window and get whatever speed VNAV is aiming for. The easy solution is pushing the CLB/CON button on the MCP. (CON would activate in case of engine out).

    Select FLCH OR VNAV with AFDS ON will change thrust limit to CLB/CON, same as 787.

    I got my Toga button binded to one of my side switches on the Throttle. That way when I push to throttle I stick out my thumb and click the switch. I always get pissed when ATC says to go around. Now I can't wait for them to do it. However I'm not gonna wait and practise it.

    Thanks for the great video. Yeah, I got a lot of practice in the 38. Probably more go arounds than landings when I first started out. THREE in one flight, was on fumes and the poor Vatsim controller wasn't happy with me. The 777 is turning out to be the same. This video is just what I needed. Practice Practice Practice makes for good pilots.

    Thanks Emanuel for the fantastic videos! Just a quick question - if you're hand-flying the ILS when you press the TO/GA button for the go-around, will the autopilot modes which you mentioned activate? If not, are they automatically activated when turning the autopilot master switch back on?

    As we speaking on go around, i dont like how boiung implemented go around path on ND. It is also purple as main route. In airbus if i remember correct it is blue. some times it is messy. For example at one airport(dont remember what, something in middle east, may be Baghdad) i have split on ND, to the left and to the right. correct way was to the left. right line was go around path

    Emi. You recently had a t/o which initially restricted your flaps-up to flaps 1. What, if anything, would be different during a G/A?

    A couple questions. Is it typical to fly the MA manually? Or can you go AP on when you're above it's engage altitude? Personally, if my plane has an autopilot I prefer to use it and relieve workload. Then again, I don't fly airliners in a crewed environment lol. Also, I'm going to guess that if the MA is caused by windshear you'd need the full TOGA mode?

  • @hansgrietjes7310

    @hansgrietjes7310

    15 күн бұрын

    It makes sense to use the AP, to reduce workload. When a Windshear is detected by the Aircraft, it will automatically go to full TOGA when you press the GA Button. But you can always press TOGA twice to get full GA Thrust.

    Can you switch from reduced ga thrust to full at a later time with the additional ga button push or if once its established you can't no more ?

    Why do we have to click a screw for toga? How does it work in the real 777 ?

  • @HERD599

    @HERD599

    15 күн бұрын

    Clicking a screw for TOGA is for accesibility, or you can bind a button for TOGA, in the real 777 there are buttons on the throttle, which you can press.

    The TOGA buttons are on the back side of the thrust lever. If you want to reach there in what's probably the busiest maneuver you will encounter in normal operations, feel free. I prefer to click the screw ;-)
