It wasn't a prediction per se. He basically meant that the portfolio investors, profit minded top investors would invest and then take out money in a few months. As a result the stock market would rise and then fall. He was talking about the 'trend'.

It wasn't a future prediction about economy rather he was pointing towards a 'trend' of ups and downs in economy due to Foreign Portfolio Investors. They put money, make a kill and when they have made enough profit then lets say after two months from now they withdraw it. This is a trend he talks about. A trend isn't a prediction.

The problem with this individual is he speaks truth to a point that it's so blunt. And that ends up triggering every parties.

He only speaks the truth when he has an agenda. He has been sidelined by Modi govt and hence he has become vocal. Modi govt perhaps doesn't like anyone too well educated. Why? The wavelengths of highly educated people don't match with Modi govt top Ministers may be? That's why top DR Raghuram Rajan never sought another term, and equally capable and well accomplished guys like Dr Urijit Patel and Dr Viral Acharya quit. Considering Swamy's elite educational background and illustrious career, he'd still be a better choice as FM/C&I Minister than any other candidate the NDA govt has had in the last 7-8 yrs. Again, his age is becoming a problem now...or does India only want septagenarian and octagenarian leaders?

5 trillion economy idea was given to him by Rana Kapoor, ex head of yes bank who is now behind bars. So much for BJP!

Dr. Swamy needs to be respected and India needs leaders like him. He has disagreed with the Prime Minister or with his party policies basically because he has more knowledge in that subject (economics) and unlike many who would have just agreed and gone with the flow. We should respect that very fact that in a democracy it is ok to disagree on views. I don't agree with some of Dr. Swamy's ideology but I appreciate that he puts forward his view and very calmly explains his side of the plot. And in a country as diverse as ours, we need to atleast give the other person a chance to speak and we should be patient to listen to it. And then come to a solution which will lead us to progress.

Swamiji says Nehru failed in his exams. Nehru passed his Cambridge exams with honours where he stood second. He cleared the barrister exams in 1912. I never thought that Mr Swamy could lie about such things

@Dark Assassin Killing in the name of a particular religion isnt the benchmark for extremism. That bigot believes in hindu supremacy and does not respect the secular nature of the country. My point though is believers can never be intellectuals as they are sure about something about which there is no concrete evidence.

When he says , " Chidambaram is a C grade student ! " ...." They call Nehru , "Pandit Ji " .... he failed all exams .....shame on pandit ji" ...........it just cracked me up hardcore.

May not be good at economics, but as a prime minister the strength and foresight as well as courage that he has demonstrated , India has not seen in any other leaders since 1947. Mr. Swami has his own opinion, we have to respect that. Nobody is perfect in everything, we all have weaknesses, but we have to appreciate the strengths as well.

Dr subramanyam Swami is very honest person in our entire india and his suggestions are the best. Hope our government will follow him to improve our economy.

Great man with Great views

PM was as a small child part of his father Tea shop. BASIC economics was learned by him at that time. He was over a period of time a good learner and practised as a CM of Gujarat. GREAT economists failed during COVID, but luckily indian economy is doing well. THIS can be a proff of PMs knowledge. MOST EXPERIENCED governor of good governance.

He says he took Modi's name during 2005 election when no one cared for Modi. Now In 2021 I understand his wisdom and awareness to choose a great leader like Modiji to rapt to the position of prime Minister. Look how well modiji is handling this pandemic. We have become role model for entire world in handling covid crisis with the second wave after April.

Mr Swamy is an intelligent man.I would have appreciated if Rahul Gandhi had studied under his guidance.

Very intelligent replies by Mr. Swamy. Jawaharlal Nehru failing so many times and still being called Panditji. Jaitley who said Ministers should not be above 75, died just after being 65. Putting more money in the hands of consumers. Encouraging small industries and businesses to generate more employment and hence more money in the hands of the consumers. It's unfortunate that Mr. Swamy is not the FM. The interviewer was a big nuisance. He was too loud and irritating.

True. Small and Medium industries are suffering very very badly due to ill effects of Ache Dins. No business can have liquidity as Gabbar Singh Tax itself a biggest burden. Businesses have to give credit of 60 days to 120 days for the goods sold to companies. In the case of Gabbar Singh Taxes one has to pay the entire taxes at slabs @18% to 28% with in a month. For whose sake some one is doing is it for themselves or for good days providing Lotus Govt. No will have the luxury of doing nothing on the contrary screw up everything built over decades within a short time yet brag all the time. Enough is Enough of botched good days . God should put an end to this chaos and allow everyone one to have a peaceful and affordable living. We have no support of big business houses to support us. Some are lucky to have listeners though every one knows what one is talking is not relevant or anything with the subject. When we talk like that people brand us as insane. Harvard is Harvard and mere talkathon is only talkathon.

7:30 Swamy predicted the stock market crash in March 2020. He said two months from now, there will be a crash and indeed it was. We need Swamy as the finance minister.
