PM is a ‘coward’ if he knew about Chinese officials blocking Cheng Lei
The Australian Foreign Editor Greg Sheridan says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is a “coward” if he was briefed about Cheng Lei being blocked by Chinese officials but did not comment on it at his press conference.
Chinese Premier Li Qiang visited Parliament House on Monday.
Sky News journalist Cheng Lei was blocked by Chinese officials at a media event between Mr Li and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
“I think, in several key ways, the Prime Minister has underperformed in this visit very, very significantly,” Mr Sheridan told Sky News host Danica De Giorgio.
“First of all, on the Cheng Lei matter. Now, it’s not a huge incident. I greatly admire Cheng Lei, but this is not a huge incident, but it was absolutely improper behaviour for foreign diplomats to muscle their way around Australian Parliament House.
“Now, if Albanese wasn’t briefed, he has the most incompetent prime ministerial office … and the government is fast asleep and should be sacked for incompetence.
“If he was briefed … then he’s a coward.”

If you, and Australia are so unhappy with the relationship between China and Australia, why doesn't Australia just decouple from China completely. Australia does not have to trade with China. Does it? Just decouple and shut up.
What on earth is Albanese thinking? Albanese is letting all of his guards down. Albanese needs to be a lot more cautious when he is dealing with any Chinese official. I can understand why Cheng Lei is laughing, but why is Albanese Laughing with him?
