Best educational drain video on the internet.
This guy is really good. I got impressed by his vast knowledge. Thanks for take of your time and sharing your knowledge with us.
I'm tackling removing old metal and cast iron plumbing for two sinks and two toilets. Plumbing seems to be putting puzzle pieces together and using gravity to make it all work. Fun stuff. This video was exactly what I needed as a DIYer. Thanks so much!
Great video - very clear and well explained. It's especially helpful that you explain why and not just what.
Holy crap! I'm watching this on that first 3" pipe's birthday! Happy birthday, little tube.

Happy birthday! haha Little tube! Fun thanks.
Nice over view of all the different fitting types. Good discussion on how a Sanitary T can only be used on a Vertical drop. Thanks.
Thank you for recording and posting this valuable educational video.
Great! This was so helpful. While I am familiar with a lot already, you gave that extra detail on how to id the size, differences in elbow, and the markings on the pipe. I will see what else you have bcs you were not patronizing and made it easy to listen and understand.

I watched your entire video... but it was the best one I watched out of many. I learned alot from you despite a year of field work. Thanks
Thanks so much Bryan for a video so packed with info. My supplier is going to think I'm a plumber now instead of some old guy DIYer.

Glad to help
very well replicating most people think that is how the water goes away but when it is covered it has to have the correct fittings otherwise they are in trouble
Great education. I'll be building a house myself for the first time ever on 30 acres I just purchased and having this resource is definitely invaluable. Thank you so much!

Thank you for your great and clear explanation It helps me a lot God bless you
In WA double fixture tee should be used instead of the “cross” 😎 Nice video 👍🏻
Great educational plumbing videos for newbies like me....
This was awesome! In my plumbing foundation course this week we have a fittings quiz and the point is to be able to identify them as they would be ordered. It's certainly a lot to wrap my head around... for this kind of piping when you order you would start with the sizes, then state the material, the thread or connection type, then fitting shape, right? For instance a 3" pvc cell core 90 degree ell? So useful to hear what order the size difference goes in. Bottom, top, side! Thanks :)
Wow! I learned so much from your video! Thanks!
This was great. Very helpful info. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

You said not to used the double Y with 2” Y s to lay down. Right now the plumbing in my son house, they used cast iron double Y with 2” Y s , the lay them down coming from the bathtub and kitchen sink and goes to the stack. So what fittings do I use

Wow that was awesome! Thank you!
great presentation, thanks
Very good info. I have a 3" sewage main runs around my basement wall and flow outside. I plan to install a water softener in my basement and connect the softener drain hose to it. Can I use a 3"x3"x2" Y Tee (horizontal) with a 2" P trap, then connect to a 36" standpipe? You mentioned in the video the Y Tee only use in vertical. Thanks.
Great video, Thank You! The only question I have is because you commented on some of the fittings they can only be installed Vertically, not Horizontally. But, you didn't mention which ones could be installed Horizontally. I would appreciate a clarification as to which fittings can be used in which orientation. Thank you!
Thank You this was VERY helpful
Thanks, lots of value
Learned heaps thank you
This was very helpful.. Thank you!
Good information. All the configurations for the DWV can get really confusing. This is helpful. On a side note: It appears that my local Home Depot no longer sells PVC pipes. My instructor had to purchase ABS pipes. I was told that they are trying to ban plastic pipes. Anyone hear anything similar.

Pvc was getting phased out as far food packing . because it's a "hard to recycle" plastic. But, I haven't heard anything about pipe. we still get a truck load of it every week here in SC. States and Countys have different rules. They may have outlawed it in your area.
Thank you, I love your whole series of videos. You didn't explicitly say it, but may I infer that the sanitary tees are for directing drainwater from horizontal to vertical, while the Wye+street combo is for directing it from vertical to horizontal?
Thank you I love this video this was a really good video I like this one thank you I like to do plumbing and learning about the different fittings.
