This is the realest thing I’ve ever seen about knit or crochet. People don’t really understand how much work it is and yet they want you to just “whip something up”

I’ve never had negative responses to my knitting. But I have had them to my job. I’ve been a full time author for 10+ years. My least favorite thing is… “I have an idea. Why don’t you write it and we will split the profits.” Like, uh… 😅 no thanks. I have plenty of my own ideas. And the writing, editing, promoting, etc is what takes up my time. 😂

noooo i get comments like this too as a software engineer about people's dumb app ideas lol but yours is truly so much worse

I figure skate and I compete and I go to sectionals National ect. I get the “so you just do that for your own fulfillment, right?” And they’ve never seen me skate. They look at me and just assume that I’m no kind of successful athlete 🤦🏼‍♀️
