Plowing Snow=Sailing Money ⛵💲

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

2017 Ram Cummins Aisin 3500 4x4 dual rear wheel with Snow Ex snow plow. Ashley and I hook up the plow and head out on the snow covered roads in Charlotte NC December 2018. We encounter a down pine tree blocking the road and use a new Echo 20" chainsaw. After plowing, shoveling and salting several commercial parking lots, Ashley reveals a secret message.

Maybe for you, but, these two can put that truck, AND BOAT, in some two dollar spaces and get 73 cents change to bring back! Damn, in this video it’s snowing and I live 70+ miles north of here, and it was 89 degrees while I mowed! Yea, I know the date difference, but I got cooled off watching this.

Hey, I live in Canada and have plowed commercially and residential for 7+ years. Sure, you didn't do the best job but you didn't do the worst either. You can always go back and revisit all your properties the next day and clean up everything, just focus on clearing main lanes and walk ways on your first go around... It sucks that it was slop , because it does make it harder to push especially for shovelers. To everyone saying get a snow blower, they wouldn't have worked well in all that slush... They usually bind up pretty good when its that wet and sloppy. If you are going to plow lots like this and shovel, you probably should have one.... At worst case get a "snow thrower" this year... You can get a toro snow thrower for like 500 bucks or less, and you can lift them into the bed of your truck very easily by yourself. They take straight gas and are very reliable and handy for someone in your situation.... The honda one is nicer but almost double the price I think. Just remember going slow is fast for plowing. This is liquid gold for us that is falling out of the sky, but we take all the liability in the world. Slip and falls + destroying curbs or the chance at hitting cars will most likely happen atleast once a year. Prepare for it and charge for it, because it will happen.

Good chuckle on this one. Remind Ashley that if she is working steady and sweating she is over dressed. If you soak your clothes you will freeze later. Take off a few layers. Also, don't be so casual with that saw. If you want to move stuff, power it down and set it aside. Just falling onto a chainsaw that is stopped can chew you up pretty good.

WELL! BUST MY CHOPS!!! Last time I call the weather. We had over twenty inches deep on the flat parts of the concrete driveway. I hope you two made a bundle, best used on the sailboat! We would not have gotten so much but the weatherman kept waving his arms and THAT pushed the heavy stuff around! Brahaha! We had 15 or so trees to trim on Sunday and 7, I think on Monday. But, the most important thing, everyone safe at home after the end of the day. Well, guess I can put up my Flexi-Flyer sled til the next snow. Not no, but heck no do I ever let anyone pull me around on a big hubcap in the snow, my relatives proved to be bad situation! Ha! Ha! Best to you two!

Been plowing snow for about 25 years in Canada.....in my experience, my preferred truck is a 3/4 tonn regular cab with a 8 foot box, LED lights on the top corner of the bumper wired in with the reverse lights....the truck isn't overly long and I can see out the back window. With the bigger box, you can easily put a sander in back too. I know your pain on rusted out brake lines.....I learned the hard way twice. They always bust on storm days too. Spend the extra money on Zinc brake lines as they don't rust and do ALL of them and be done with it. My two cents.....and great video by the way!

Never push snow from the lot into your handicap spots. Always back drag it then push it away from the spots. Use your blade on the straight setting some. Even without wings you can straight push some away. Find you a set of the bolt on wings for your plow and it will help a lot.

If you are going to be plowing for places a good idea is to get a bed camper insert. Will give you a bed and place to cook without having to travel home and some of them you can put a chemical toilet in so you even have a warm spot to go without finding a gas station/fast food place that is open. Why try to sleep in the driver seat if the snow is coming slow when you can have a real bed in the back of the truck?

I'd have fired you for that job. No curb to curb. Didn't clear a lot for the cars to be relocated. Backing up more than 2 maybe 3 truck lengths. The pile in the isle could have turned to a burm without break lines or pre-plow. Also was surprised because the front tires look bald or very close from the camera angle.
