What a wonderful knowledgeable person. I am re hearing this speech over and over again. I agree fully with all your words. I am awaiting Africa to soon become one great inspiration. Russia never abandoned you, true , you also made a wise choice. Africa and Russia will soon be loved by the world.

Every country has its challenges and Russia has a lot of poverty in the rural areas. Putin and his buddies have pulled hundreds of billions of dollars away from the people and it shows, AVERAGE monthly salary is less than $600 a month. ( Wikipedia July 2023 ). Russia made a big mistake by attacking Ukraine. You can’t force anyone to be with you if you think you’re doing the right thing so be it.

USSR that came into existence in 1921 collapsed in 1991 under the leadership of President Gorbachev. America so managed the collapse of USSR by still allowing the concentration of power, weapons and armament in the hands of Russia, as to avoid proliferation of those weapons, at the expense of the other 15 republics that made up the union of the USSR. We must all remember that Ukraine was a key independent nation member out of the four nations that formed the Union as a result of the 1917 revolution. They had always been independent and had never been an appendage to Russia .Where then did the agreement of not allowing an independent Nation not to be independent enough to take an independent decision, of association, choice of friends of what have you. Prof, I need more elucidation.

Native Russians living in East Ukraine were being persecuted for a long time by the Ukrainian government, bombs were being dropped on them. You need to know the real history and the reason why Putin went to war. Don't just listen to western propaganda and ignore Russia. PLO is totally wrong on this issue. Ukraine is an independent country and should be free to choose as they see fit. If a country disagrees with you, and you are more powerful than that country it is OK to invade and conquer that country? This is one topic that I can’t agree with PLO on. This is ignorance on your part, the real devil is in the west. Who invaded libya, Iraq, afaghanstan just to mention but a few and distablised countries, murdered leaders and the people in their own lands.? Did they have the right to murder.?

Can you recall the 1960s Cuban crisis? Was it rumored that US was ready to sink the island because of Russia military presence ? What is wrong with Russia being apprehensive and insisting that Ukraine remains neutral? I was mesmerized by Frederick Taylor capitalism I am abhorred by the current dirty and war like capitalism.

Professor Lumumba...Africa as a whole is not united....its best to clean your own back yards...gather your smart young minds to find solution to make Africa become a economic power house....until then...with the current systemic recognition...whatever your suggestion for other countries problem will fall on deaf ears. With economic power...the rest of the world will take Africa seriously.

@@selemanmartin read carefully...assumptions is what got Africa on the whole a backward continent. Africa should have become a economic power if wasnt for infighting /outside interference. It happens because of Africas disunity.

Totally disagree. I have seen the pain and devastation of this horrible war. You cannot describe anything over Ukraine. They have chosen their path. Leave them alone rather than yap out of ignorance.
