Can you imagine going to a gig where the support act for Periphery is none other than Plini?! When people say that music is getting worse I just have to wonder what on earth they're listening to, because I can find stuff I like from every era, whether it was composed 500 years ago or yesterday. Prog music is in safe hands with musicians like Plini writing incredible stuff like this.

Semantic Samuel exactly . People are just looking i the wrong places for music. They don’t really want new, they just want different artists playing the same shit. Kinda how the 80s were lol. I rly believe this is one of the best eras of music. People can make incredible songs in their bedroom now which is amazing ie. Plini.

so much this! It blows my mind. we live in a time where most of us can access basically ever piece of music ever created with 3 clicks or less and people want to tell me that there isn't any good music being released anymore?

Music certainly isn't what it used to be. It's powered by other mechanisms than back in the days of the classical masters. That is not to say that the artists themselves are no longer capable. They just don't have the means nor the motivation to create genuine works of art. They're entertainers before they are artists. And that is fine. But I'm confident in my belief that the quality of musical productivity, by the piece and as a whole, of certain musical periods of the past was higher than today. In simple terms, the historically educated consensus is _today's music has gotten worse._

Accidental Charlie Robbins sighting in a Plini comments section made my night. Love you bro!
Damn, they found an excellent drummer. He plays like a jazz drummer at a rock gig. It's so different from the rest of metal drummers, he really captures the essence of Plini, I feel. Not to mention how goddamn fast and powerful, yet relaxed and effortless his strokes and embellishments are.

Plini and Simon Grove remind me of Paul Gilbert and Billy Sheehan. Both perfect on their respective axes, in their ranges, and perfectly complementary of each other in their syncopation.
the pinches at the end gave a whole different vibe and I'm loving it, holy shit
Worst thing about plini's songs is they end.
I can’t wait these are some of the best musicians of this generation.

I saw him live in Dublin supporting Tesseract. Gotta chance to talk with him and some of the band members. I hate celebritism and all that stuff, still... Amazing people amazing artists, so glad I had a chance to have chat with em. Together with Tesseract by far one of the best live performance i ever had pleasure to witness, beats almost every single "old" band I used to love as a kid(Deftones etc.). Hopefully Covid-19 situation at some point will be somehow fixed to the point people can enjoy this as much as I could.

@@fmspjanus Deftones are better than both both Plini and Tesseract imo. their music feels a little more alive and meaningful than either of these two bands. Plini are nice for when you want groovy, jazzy, prog vibes but honestly think Animals As Leaders are a more interesting option usually. All of these bands are still fantastic (well maybe not Tesseract..).
@fmspjanus

@@osmark86 I grew out of deftones and also seen them live twice which was... Disappointing. I don't want to argue cause its a a matter of taste. In terms of composition I do not see plini as a background "jazzy" music as it has barely anything to do with ambient or jazz on a theoretical and practical level.

BEST SONG EVER! Im sad, i played it, im happy; i played it !! Im hopefull, i played IT … im DREAMING… i played it! Thank so much Plini
Plini is the reason I am able to enjoy rock guitar again after many years .. the last time I was so excited was when I discovered Guthrie
That bass tone was built by the gods
My favorite song of all time. Done.
Not ONLY are these guys incredible musicians, kudos to whomever recorded and mixed this - this track is so damn tight, and fat, and clean, and dirty, and powerful, and...did I say fat? It was so fat, it was fat twice! Amazing. I'm a fan now.
Amazing performance, as always. Pinch harmonics at 3:44 onward are some of the coolest I've ever heard.
That little bit he plays along with the bass at 1:16 is just *chef's kiss*
Happy birthday Plini!
Plini is an alien that Satriani brought from another universe. Such a talented musician
Plini is a genius.
I saw them at a small venue in Minnesota and it was the best concert I ever saw. You can't beat talent like Plini.

Plini continues to set the bar exceptionally high. Supported by great musicians, particulary Simon!Simon!Grove on his very beautiful North-German Le Fay bass. This is quality music. Thank you so much!
Back in the 70’s bands like King Crimson set the standard for prog musicianship but now… I mean my god, bands like Plini are doing things that would have been considered impossible even for the best musicians back then. These guys are so good it’s scary! 👍🏼👍🏼
That tonal shift live is absolutely God-tier, good lord
THE SOUND QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE IS SO FUCKING EPIC CHILLS THE ENTIRE TIME GUYS. THANK YOU.
The current era of progressive metal is simply amazing. Musicians such as Plini and David Maxim have brought whole together a new kind of music to the scene. So lucky to have found them and seen them performing live. :)

I love the unashamed abuse of pinch harmonics at the ending, especially with the held out version of the main riff
Wait Periphery and Plini all in one tour? Holy
It's so warm and fuzzy
Doesn’t get any better than this. Chris Allison is the greatest!!
Soooo many harmonicssssss 😱🤯
MAGICAL
There is no way to describe the way this music makes me feel other than FEELS they don't need a vocalist with the way he makes his leads sing out of his guitar and always the perfect counter basslines once again amazing ❤️
I love how this is very ethereal and grimy all at the same time. I’ve seen Plini quite a few times on all amazing lineups and it truly is an experience. Another amazing song as per usual 🙌🏽🤍
Very best!!! Thanks!!!
Life is tough, so is Plini 😊😊
I confess that I want to the Periphery concert in Berlin just to see Plini and had to leave for work before Periphery started :D Plini u and your guys were amazing
My Heart Is on fire
I saw them supporting Periphery in Manchester and it was the greatest night of my life.
Plini brought balance to the force. I’ve lost.
Came for Plini, stood for Chris... as tight as it can get
Even more magic than the studio version. Bless you Plini and friends ❤️
Im always listening in 2022
