Something I realized after playing Plini's songs with my friends for the last 3 years. You need a drummer who can lock onto each beat and a backing guitarist who knows when to harmonize and can pick the right sound when the lead guitarist hits the melody.

Totally! So much of his music is about the production or performance of the song.

And we're not respected by most bands so we stop playing. The abuse is horrible some us get from band mates...so then we pick up other instruments ...and some of us find out we're better guitarists than drummersbut that is me,,....

play inside mostly major or lydian scale things or pentatonic, they make the melody sounds bright and prog

I was wondering how he gets the notes to sound so fluffy yet they pop out so much when picked and I was certain the tone starts with the neck pickup. Turns out it was the bridge pickup all along and I'm even more confused, but now I'm sure some sort of voodoo is involved.

I dont understand how to get the sound he does when he mutes (x) on the string. Mines is making a few different mute sounds
