I totally know what you mean. I recall years with times so low and lonely that I found great comfort and escape in music. We used to live in a musical desert of mediocre musicians and shallow sentiments. To find a good progressive rock or jazz-rock group was great fortune and those blessed musicians like "prophets of the new frontier". To find others whom you can share that music with is worth living for. Now it is all at the tip of our fingers...Awesome!

I've been listening to instrumental rock since mid 80's. To me Joe Satriani is my favorite all-time. Plini is gaining ground. His compositions are thoughtful and exciting unlike some of the other modern prog guys (bands) who just play crazy off time as wierd as possible, which can be cool too lol. But I keep going back and listening to Plini just like Satch

@@benbushey3479 Agreed. But I see his point, but I mean we all love Prog anyway, that's why we are here posting on relatively obscure music. Also, Earthside.

Lifelong Satriani fan here too, nice to know other Satch also fans dig this genre. So much good music being made today. Recently enjoying a bit of I Built The Sky, also.

As a collective, the diversity and class of these EPs tracks is pure gold! The more I listen, the more genius is revealed. Plini is next level, he and his musicians are world class. Every note in his solos have purpose and so much originality is going on. His rhythms are brilliant: I haven’t been moved or excited by new music like this for almost a decade!

Certainly reminiscent of both Satriani and Vai. I hope you do formally release a bunch of albums or whatever they call them these days. I fondly remember the prog rock of the seventies and have always appreciated anything in that genre.

it's like listening to a musical that references beautiful tangents later on in a different scale/energy. you know that beautiful arpeggio from earlier? the guitar is chucking that now. the craziest goosebumps and "F*** yeah" groove moments i've experienced in a long time. all the while being "background music". The epitome of what i'd love to create one day
