I sometimes hear people complain about people recording with their mobile phones. But just imagine if we had this during Shawn Lane's life!

Wow cannot believe you know and I think love Shawn Lane. Still brings tears to my eyes of his early passing. Cheers.

Turning into a cameraman ruins the magic of the live experience for the guy who is recording and for others too. If the price for it is that I can't watch the footage on KZread, I'm fine with that.

Miller is the closest I've seen to an heir to Holdsworth in terms of sheer technical weirdness at speed. Sonically he's like a strange chimera of Holdsworth, Frisell and David Gilmore (not Gilmour).

I think he is better than Holdsworth. As innovative and ground-breaking as Holdsworth was, often he was meandering or very mechanical. And his output was low. Just like Shawn Lane, Allan Holdsworth is also a bit o a tragic story. In this recording especially, Tim Miller is way more musical than Holdsworth ever was.
