so I had set Plex dvd with a HDHR Flex 4K tuner but I had mixed results with scheduled recordings. some recordings were successful, others recorded midway or didn't happen. I'm guessing it's because my computer fell asleep. are there any other settings adjustments or configurations I need to do to prevent this from happening?

You may want to check your settings, this is most likely a problem with the broadcast schedule, you need to verify your computer system time and rescan for channels to be sure the schedules match up. You do want to keep the computer on at all times. Thanks for watching!

How are you getting it to populate the correct meta data. If I rip the movie and it starts with the same directory Plex labels them the same name and puts them into duplicate category removing them from Home Screen. It will also associate two files to the same movie. Def some hiccups but I’m working through it. I’ve done movies only for now until I get the directory structure and naming conventions correct. Series and tv shows are going to be a nightmare unless I figure this out.

When you rip the movie you should have file like "Top Gun (1986).mp4" when it is done. Then on your plex server you put the file in a folder with a name such as "PG-13 Movies". As I show in the video you add the folder called "PG-13 Movies" as a movie directory and it adds it to your home screen. Plex will then look in PG-13 Movies and see Top Gun (1986).mp4 and add the movie to your dashboard. Every movie should be named the movie name and the (release date). For TV shows you create a folder such as "TV Shows" with a folder fore each series such as "The Office", you then add a folder inside of it for each season such as "Season 01" and "Season 02". Then each episode file you put in the correct season folder with the name of the episode in this format "Episode 01.mp4" and "Episode 02.mp4" That is it, Add the folder "TV Shows" as a TV directory and plex will take care of the rest.
