Plenum Bells and Procession of Sanctuary the Immaculate Heart of Maria - Pescara (HISTORICAL FILMS)

This video belongs to the "ARCHIVE HISTORICAL FILMS" series. The videos belonging to this series are old productions re-proposed as a documentary therefore they are not excellent videos but they contain emotions and memories dear to me. In this video I'm in Pescara, an Italian town, capital of the homonymous province, in Abruzzo to show you the solemn plays and the procession of 13 May 2013 (Madonna di Fatima) at the Sanctuary of the Immaculate Heart of Maria. The Sanctuary was designed in 1919 and was built between 1946 and 1947 by the architect Lillo Barbera. On October 31, 1981 the Sanctuary was solemnly dedicated by H.E. Monsignor Antonio Iannucci at the Immaculate Heart of Mary in fulfillment of the vow made by the Oblate missionaries of Mary Immaculate after the bombing of December 8, 1943. On the same day the concert of 7 bells was also blessed with the presence of the Rector and Parish Priest Romualdo M. Lopardo OMI. The façade is in exposed brick arranged to create a geometric motif and is closed at the top by a tympanum with sober neoclassical lines. Externally it is visible the lantern that closes the dome of the transept, in the center of the Latin cross basilica plan. The imposing quadrangular bell tower was designed by the architect Barbera according to the abbey style of Abruzzo. It was built by the Ciampoli company, under the direction of its owner ing. Charles, gentleman and great devotee of the Immaculate Heart. The construction of the bell tower took many years from 1952 to 1980. The tower hosts on the top the concert of 7 bells which underlines the TWINNING occurred during the Pilgrimage of July 1977, with the Garden of the three Shepherd children. Each bell engraved a text from the message of Fatima (1917). The largest was merged by the Pontifical Marinelli Foundry of Agnone (Molise) in 1980 and the remaining in 1981 by the Capanni Foundry of Castelnovo ne 'Monti on behalf of the Scarselli OES of Signa (FI), which also oversaw the building of the entire facility. The second, third and fifth are electrified by momentum and the others by momentum. The solemn plays proposed in the video are:

ottimo stupendo, immagino che questo sia l'ultimo su queste campane, sperando che sia di monito per il parroco o chi di dovere vedendo questi filmati storici di (una volta finita l'emergenza covid) fare una bella manutenzione e ripristirnarle, immagino le prossime siano quelle della basilica dei sette dolori, che anche li sono stati rimossi un'po di video, mentre San Cetteo? ormai è passato un pò di tempo dai lavori di restauro ricordo che volevano mettere a slancio anche le 5 campane alla veronese
