"because I felt different" ..... Once we know we have no reason to feel different, along with understanding why we wanted to, that's half the battle done Billy. I'm 53, 11 years clean and yes, I remember The Six Million Dollar Man! 👍😁

Another inspiring video mate. 8 years younger than you, but my weapon was the same (stone, bobby-or A-Z). Am like the Tazmanian Devil after a glass of wine, dont know when to stop. Anyway, I've stopped it now. Clean and sober, 3 months. Just suffering from coming off the diazies. 2 months on, sleep is fked. Its difficult on ur own. You're videos make me reflect on things and motivate me, thankyou. Oh, love ye new ones about hidden history in Liverpool. I'm writing a novel set during the Great Famine and Joseph Williamson etc. You've showed me a lot that I didnt know, keep them ones coming when Spring Summer come. Liverpool is a city steeped in history, good and bad. People are missing out on they're city's culture and history, wether it be good or bad. Thanks Bill👍

I’ll be 40 in less than 4 weeks time ( I hope I make it cos I’m being taken out for an Indian meal / buffet ) 😂 joking aside. Great content as always Billy lad, we know your authentic mate, and for those of us who know, we’re glad of the wider service your doing regarding helping the youth, discouraging gang culture and last but not least for the great content in your uploads. 💯👍 Take care, and big ups to your Joe, and Judder. 🙏

I was in B&H in 92-93, was a bad place to be, I struggled with addiction and trying still to stay clean. I was there in uk army, one of the first in... Part of the UN, useless being there really, all we were told to do was observe, while atrocities were being committed. Not all of us observed, though. There was our own lad's committing suicide, drinking themselves to death, shooting their own friends, lot's of anger amongst ourselves. I really hope your brother is doing OK. All the best.

Bill my script is exactly the same as yours, those were dark days in the 80s, I had the father that had drug addicted sons, and he was worried sick and didn't have the tools to deal with the situation, so every other night you'd have to take the hiding of a lifetime. Mate, I had the same script for Hindley and the other nicks, and it was all because our city was left to die by the politicians, and that's a fact, we found out it was called "an orderly decline" So when something came along that could let you forget your troubles for the day, and you didn't have to worry about today until tomorrow, because that's just some other time, then it was no wonder the city was destroyed with smack and drink. Don't go looking for fault in yourself, it was politics that made you an addict. Maggie had the port security relaxed during those years, coincidence ? I think not. It was a tried and tested method in the States, smack was pushed into black ghettos, the same way it happened here, crack was different, that was an underground culture.

Im alot older Billy , but my work background was mainly with young people in Care. My father was violent luckily my mother left him. Later my brother got into alcohol. He started smoking at 12 years some research shows that this can act as a gateway drug. He started drinking at 15 years of age. Back then you could leave school at 15 years of age. We were always focused on work. Growing up with your childhood experiences and being able to reflect so honestly and with great awareness takes some doing . You had an inner belief that you had some value and now you give back genuinely.. I think we need to get some support from the ground up. How about getting some contacts with the Mothers . You've probably thought of alot of things I would like to offer some support. I can identify with the competition between the various charities and the general attitude of self promotion We need to start a petition to get an initiative for New Start. In Liverpool. Regarding consequences sometimes difficult to appreciate future impacts. How can we as members of the Community come together lets not give up. Appreciate your sharing

We're all products of our environment Billy lad. Nature vs Nurture shapes us. Peer pressure, genetics and environment. I was 10 when I first smoked the draw. Sputnik, Black Rocky, Red Leb, Red Seal Black etc. At 12 i was smoking it daily, then it led to Mushrooms, Glue,Gas,Petrol or any solvent. That progressed to LSD, then in 90/91 the rave scene kicked in and Ecstasy and Whizz. Then at 20 in 96 i started on the Smack and Stone. Took me 18 years to stop. 10 years clean and proud. Keep the awareness going Bill. 👊❤

Some heavy ones on here today. I don't agree that those times you mention were a waste of time. They've led us here, it was the journey to who we are now and who we'll become in the future. If we come out of it better then maybe those times were a blessing disguised as an evil, useful times that forged us in fire. My beans on toast were marmite sandwiches with no butter. Just bread and marmite. Only God knows what my mother was thinking but those sandwiches made me hard as fuck. So rough with the smooth. 🤣 This video make me think, I like it Bill.. 💯🔥🧨

You are spot on about people looking after number one, wether it big organisations or even individuals sharing under the pretext of helping others. Keep on the right path trying to make a difference and people can see the ones who are genuine and the chancers, prople gravitate to the real ones in the end i think.

You can learn everything from your own personal experience. You talk more sense and concern for people rather than these who sit there and brag about being in prison and who they was with and what they saw I was in prison for the first time I saw things and people but I never speak about it and you don't much it's not your agenda so keep up the good work mate

Im in the grip of addiction at the minute. Sniffing coke and I’ve lost my Mrs and kids and my job. I drink to excess because I don’t want to feel the pain of my consequences. It’s an awful cycle
