Please Remember Me
A personal tribute to those in the British military who have fallen victim to the troubles in Iraq & Afganistan. It's for the families, friends and relatives as a lasting memorial. Most of them very young. If you recognise anyone or are a relative, please leave a comment. It is not, in any way, a political statement so please don't leave comments which may reflect this. Thanks. Certain comments have been removed due to them becoming too personal and offensive to most.
Thank you all for your comments. This was my first You Tube video it was inspired by mausergirl's Please Remember Me about US soldiers. I looked for a British tribute but, at that time, none struck me - music wise?
This music tell's their story of life, family, fun and ultimately mourns their loss..The memory is all theirs loved ones have left to cherish, A lifepath has gone, never to be retraced - each one of their life paths is unique to each of them...and us.

R.I.P My Brothers and Sisters...U.S.Navy here
I live in New Jersey and remember on 9/11 my father (US Navy Capt ret.) told me there would now be war. I remember in all the confusion wondering who was attacking us, and whether this was the beginning of WW3. I asked him if anyone would even help us - his answer: the Brits are still tough, they will stand by us. 10 years later - it isn't the war I'd imagined; and it has been a controversial road plagued by mistakes.. but he was right, for better or for worse the British stood by us. Thank you
I feel close to my lost son when I watch this vidio. I thought I was alone now I know I am not. I have so many loved ones out there who share the same pain, pride and victory of an unending link we will always share So many .Thank you all. our and memories are linked forever.UK and USA and the commonwealth countries who have helped God Bless you all.
When you go Home Tell them of Us For your today We Gave our tomorrow
God save the British To all who have fallen in battle, we salute you... -An American Youth
From a Canadian Veteran to my British comerades in arms, God Bless you all serving your country, I will remember you along with my fallen comerades as I always do and with a heavy heart remember my buddies who were the salt of the earth, who served and gave of themselves selflessly.
AT THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN AND IN THE MORNING "WE WILL REMEMBER THEM"
I have an American father and a Canadian mother. My father was a gunner on a B17, and all of my male relatives on my mother's side of my family fought for Canada. They have nothing but praise for their British comerades in arms. I married an American airman, and now our son is serving in the U.S. Air Force. Thank you for making this video. The British are the bravest fighters in the world, and I join hands with you across the sea to pay tribute to your fallen heroes.
I served alongside a few British soldiers in my stint in Iraq with the 101st Airborne. Fantastic soldiers and real high speed. Respect and condolences.
I American, and I cried over this video. When people die, they're remembered and live on in our hearts forever.
Just turned 60 and haven't cried for many years. Untill now.
God bless our British allies. We will be there for you always. From a Kentucky Irishman.
Love you my Brother's and Sister's. The bond never will be broken even when 1 travels across. You will never be forgotten. Rest now and thank you. Sincerely EAGLE 🌹
As a yank Thank you for standing beside the U.S I cannot begin to know the grief that you feel at the loss of your loved ones!!! Please know that you are in my prayers and thoughts all that I know to do is to cry with you! God Bless you all
For what it's worth, I send you this message from Indiana, USA. My deepest sympathies go to the families, friends, and brothern who have to endure such great lost. I am with you in spirit and you will all be in my hearts and prayers. Stay strong and God Bless each and everyone of you.
words cant describe the gratitude and respect i have for these heroes.
Churchill's quote from 1940 is as appropriate today for these wonderful warriors - "Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few." As a US citizen, I so appreciate their ultimate sacrifice. Such a tiny percentage of the Free World's population doing 100% of the fighting to protect OUR way of life....it just doesn't seem right. Thank you and God Bless you all and all your families!
And unmeasurably proud that our British Brothers have stood by us through so many years..... We cannot thank you enough..
May their souls rest in peace and may God bring comfort and courage to the one's that are still peushing on. I'm from South Africa, I know how it feels to lose someone in your life, especially dying whilst doing the right thing for the rest of us. Let us remember all our fallen heroes.
we are looking at dead men and women its like looking at ghosts the people you see before you gave up everything joined up and became KIAs of war so sad I will never forget!
all families who have lost their ones to this horrid war will be in my prayers
I,m a soldier and Gulf War veteran I can sum up my feelings and for my brothers who gave their lives. We volunteer to give our lives in the name of freedom and to protect those who cannot protect themselves. We ask nothing of our country or the world but to be loved as every man and to be respected as your fellow brother. We ask not for war but for peace!
God Bless Our British Cousins! Your loss is our loss, and America is proud to have stood beside you so many times over the years.
Just found this video so I put a few words together. REMEMBER THEM Some were young, Some were older, Some were sons,Some were daughters, Some were fathers,Some were mothers, Some were brothers ,Some were sisters, Some were friends, Some were relatives, Some we just knew, Some were from this country , Some from another place. All had ambitions to live as best they could, All realised the cost before they went, All were strong and filled the gap, All stood for what they believed in, EVERY ONE OF THEM GAVE THEIR ALL. All are hero’s REMEMBER THEM.
Thank you for posting this. Rest easy all that have died in this senseless war. You have made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom all over the. Rest easy all creed, colors, races, and country. This is still one of the nicest tributes to our hero's on youtube, can't believe it's, nearly a year since we lost my nephew in Iraq, the pain we feel in our hearts never leaves us, wars bring such a sad waste of young lives, at least with tributes like this we know they will never be forgotten.
This Video is so sad yet so beautiful. Job well Done. My heart and prayers go out to each one of the families that are in your video and to the ones that are not in the video but gave their lives for their country. I want to thank them all and would love to shake the hands of each family and thank them.
its always hard to think of how loved ones feel when we are out there, but now i understand, its harder for them then it is for us. may all rest in peace.
For all the young soldiers who have given all - blessings from the US - I am a mother of a soldier ..served in Iraq - and he was forturnate to come home whole...my heart goes out to those who could not .

Great song. One of my favorites. Trained with Royal Marines, Royal Irish Regiment, Dragoons, British Army, etc., in the 90's. Great times, very professional and proficient. USMC '94-'99.
I tip my hat to you for putting this together. I couldn't watch it without filling up. What a moving tribute and how nice to read the best wishes of those in other countries. Deep peace to the departed. Love, support and respect for those they've left behind. We will remember them.

It's good to hear your pride for our country at such a young age. Many have none?!Thank You.
This video is ESSENTIAL viewing, because it reminds us that dead servicemen and women are not just statistics, or headlines in newspapers, machines in uniform; but ordinary people with real lives. They are loved and mourned by those who pay the price for their sacrifice in tears and heartache that never goes away; their parents, their siblings, their wives, girlfriends, children, and friends...
I bless this man with all my heart let him to be welcomed to the house of god. I'm am truly sorry to this family.
great video, it is 4 weeks ago that the war on terror took my fiancee away from me, He was a great guy, amazing soldier, and kick ass pilot. FROM YOUR FRENCH-AMERICAN COUSIN IN LOUISIANA...THANK YOU FOR YOUR SACRIFICE. I (an American soldier) DO APPRECIATE YOUR DEDICATION TO AN ALLIED NATION. WE STARTED OUT TOGETHER ONCE UPON A TIME...WE MAY VERY WELL END TOGETHER....AND MAYBE THAT IS AS IT SHOULD BE...THANKS TO YOU AND YOUR COUNTRYMEN AND WOMEN FOR STANDING BY US.
This is our Memorial Day weekend in the USA. My heartfelt thanks go out to all the British soldiers who've stood by us and to those who've paid the ultimate price. I'm ashamed of the disrespect our president has shown to our allies especially the United Kingdom. Rest assured most of don't feel that way.
tribute poem:- please remember me, im fighting the enemy, i gave my country the best of me, 'come home safe', Is what my mother said to me, this might mean i end my walk in life, but id do it if it ment you could walk it right, some days theirs a pain in my chest, i cant even rest, never the less, strength is never the less, so i keep you here in the left side of my chest. R.I.P to you all see you on the otherside
Wonderful tribute to our brothers in freedom that have stepped forward in fighting a bloody evil force from the 14th century. May these warriors rest in peace.
"Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose".Words from yesteryear, translated as "the more it changes, the more it remains the same".So many, over the years, names, faces, places,in yellowed and faded photos melding with these young people who all seem so familiar it's uncanny. That's the trouble with being old and outliving everyone who was anyone in one's life, and specially if one is fool enough to browse the vids on youtube for want of anything better to occupy what passes for a mind. The past bites, but hard! A deep sleep to them all. An old soldier.
thank you. i'm gonna be in the us army at the beginning of next year to go to iraq and i say thank you for all the people there and all the people that went. you are my heros (your bravery) to do this thank you again. and god bless all the troops in the middle east.
R.I.P. brothers.
this is my First time when i watching video and crying...... I cant believe that they are dead..... Rest in peace
What a beautiful song and such a fitting tribute to the fallen heroes ....god bless them all....thank you for sharing xx[♥]
Very moving tribute. Sometimes we Americans forget that we're not the only ones sending men and women over to fight for freedom, but that there are other countries who have fine men and women making the same sacrifices as well. Thank you to ALL the brave soldiers, your sacrifice is appreciated. May the families of these soldiers be blessed and may their lose never be forget.
I sleep under the blanket of FREEDOM that these brave men and women provide for me! i TEACH tough teens every day- yet I could NEVER do what these Americans do FOR ME.
Can't say I know anyone in the video. What you did here was beautiful and thoughtful, brought a tear to my eye. God Bless those over sea's fighting.
Thanks for doing this. It's a very nice tribute to the sacrifices of the fallen--and those of your country as a whole. I'm from the US. You are truly one of our closest allies in the world, and it is a friendship to be cherished.
Always in our hearts never to be forgotten rest in peace Brothers in Arms
From America I will alway remember what my brothers and sisters have done for us in this troubled times, as we stood side by side. I will remember you.
May we never forget their sacrifice and that of their families. As long as we remember and keep them in our hearts, they have not died in vain. We are very grateful to our brothers and sisters in the UK who continue to fight for Freedom. I am also grateful to our Canadian brothers and sisters. My grandfather was in the Canadian Black Watch in WW I. I also lost an uncle in WW II. USMC. Thank you for posting this video. Cheers, Kerry - BOSTON, MA
Thank you all so much for your help and sacrifice. Love, American Airman.

Thank you for this video, it was truly beautiful, I do hope that ppl may view this and see that its not about the war, its about the warriors. All of them. No matter the country, they were loved by someone, and I thank them so much for the sacrifice they made.
Almost too heartbreaking to even comment on. Such beautiful, strong, young men and women, who should be home raising families and living their lives. I salute their bravery, determination and commitment. God bless their families - such loss. "At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them".
I am heart broken for your loss! Thank you for being our trusted allies. Our freedom is not free, God bless all the families and friends who lost their loved ones.
