Playing as Grand Cathay I was fighting Skaven on a map with a choke point. I put my dragon there alone and went on to rack up 1.2k kills with my alchemist casting only searing doom 😂 I've never seen so much devastation

if you engage them with a straight line of melee fighters you can do this every time

the fact the balance of power barely moved astounds me because that means there mist be a strong character nearby

AI done this to me once... I was traumatised being a strict steel faith and gunpowder player and vowed to kill every mage

Ive always found magic to be some of the worst mechanics in the total war games… especially since you cant stop people from casting, it just ruins tactics strategies and the actual strength/weaknesses of units. So many times I find “wtf” moments in the games due to that…

How do you rotate the spell like that? Isi it available in wh2?

Wait. You can change the casting direction? I've been using mage to move direction so it would work

You can click and drag these spells to choose their direction. Same for Burning Head etc

Why not target some more important units than empire swordsman?

Yep I’m Wh3 is left click + drag it the way you want it. I think in WH1 it was alt+left click and drag.

it also left lcick then drag the direction in warhammer 2, without it all those line and "tear shaped" spells wouldn't be even half as useful
