2 years ago when this came out I was going through a really hard breakup. He was abusive and it was a dangerous time for myself. Hearing this two years later, healthier, happier, and with a man who truly loves me and would never make me feel this way, is equally heartbreaking and encouraging. Thank you for this!

The evolution of this song is simply amazing. The first one had an anger that I could relate with. The second had a bit more of a depression stage sound to it. But this. This is the acceptance stage of grief no matter if it's death or not. Whatever you went through you have healed from it. Congrats!

I feel the same way. everyone is leaving in my life. I will never measure up to my big brother but we were close and he died 2 years ago of a drunk driver so my mom is depressed and sometimes I feel like I'm letting her down and it got so bad I ended up in the hospital 3 times for attempted suicide and rn I feel like shit I got all the scars to prove.

I remember listening to this song 3 years ago. Most of my life I tried to help people around me, cheer them up and try to make them happy and when I would need them they left. 3 years ago I just realised I couldn't lie to myself anymore and I wasn't that happy as I thought I was. I was falling apart and distancing myself from everyone. I needed help and it turns out I finally found the one friend that won't give up on me and doesn't leave when I need them. I'm doing way better now and we've been friends for almost 10 years and counting. I hope everyone finds a friend or significant other that doesn't give up on you

It hurts so much… The first one was raw emotion and this is scarred melancholy

i just wrote a very long, emotional comment, and it got dealeted bc the song changed. A short version is that I'm very gratefull.
