Videos like this give you an idea of how India was in British era. It seems that time has stopped or time flows far slow in these areas. This has tourist value offcourse. Tourism is less about visiting dead tombs & more about experiencing the living culture. India / pk accommodates all from people mentally ahead in 22nd century to people who prefer to live in 7th century Arabia!

Private compartment of 2 people or 4 people is available in AC Sleeper class. Its available in Tezgam and Khyber Mail only from RWP to KHI. In Greenline the cabin is of 6 persons but it doesnt have washroom.

Yes they are being provided by caution list when they depart a main junction which includes where to expect PLC and cautions.

Our railways still existing in 1800s. I know this problem since saad rafique,s time. They changed the signals but unable to functionlized new ones. Old signsls are still kept on badami bagh station. Are u sleeping sheikh raheed?

The signals are being upgraded but the progress is slow. Specifically in Badami Bagh region there is some problem which is preventing new signals to work properly. The AEN of LHR division should look into this.

I live in Melbourne Australia I've seen them continue to use the old signal system in some locations for 5 years after the installation of the new "replacement" signal system, due to a problem with the replacement system at that location.

Deepak, Signal is red because its not working properly, thats why station master is giving manual paper line clear to train driver which allow him to pass on a red signal.

ElfNet Designs, in British railway system which is still followed in Pakistan and India, train driver is called locomotive pilot and assistant driver is assistant loco pilot.

Signals are upgrading from Semaphore to Computer based Interlocking.. thats why for the time being manual paper signals are being used. As you can see cbi signal is functional with red light but its not working properly yet

If the signal is red but you have the paper line clear from the station you can go through.But you need permission from station master.

They do communicate via mobile phones but according to rules its not considered formal signal. Hence this PLC is to be followed.

They did adopt it but still SOPs have to be followed. They can't just pass by a train on a red signal on just verbal confirmation.

@@PakRailography I also saw this signalling system when I was a kid (10 years back) being used in some areas of India. But now broad gauge lines are installed and electrified. Token system is replaced where i live, don't know about rest of the areas. It was delight to watch this but saddening too at the same time.
