Alex is actually, genuinely a nice and caring person who isn't brain washed by corporate nonsense. Also really entertaining too. I admire the guy and he makes great tutorials and PC port reviews.

I believe what andypants means is to the extent of which how Xbox is reported on yes there's content made but is there doom and gloom towards PS as a brand like there is with Xbox and how the messaging is different an example would be when the layoffs happened certain videos were titled PS layoffs 8%(900) and there were Xbox videos titled xbox lays off 1800(8%) both are true (although it was technically Microsoft) but seeing the bigger number because Microsoft is a bigger company yet the percentage is the same it's skewed to look worse for xbox

2:14:24... Alexx, the Series X has backward-compatible titles with the xbox 360 and has splitscreen working as well. I'm not sure what games you have in mind, but I have a feeling the splitscreen games you're thinking about are available on the Series x along with Lost Odyssey.

Some of these streaming services that 'are not making profit' like other companies are using clever accounting to avoid tax. They would be making profit if they werent hiding the money by 'investing in the business'.

Explaining "the gamble": There is a lot of people like Me and my friends, who tend to buy COD for $70, play like addicts for a month and then we move on. Now MS will not get our $70, they will get $17 (atm) and we will play like addicts for a month. On players like me, they will lose revenue. The gamble here is, nobody knows if people inclined to sub (who wouldn't pay $70 for COD) will patch out the hole left by players who will just sub for a month instead of giving them $70. Everything else MethcastGuy says in his video is bunch of crap, but calling it "a gamble" isn't. And yes, calling it "final gamble" is rakanishu.

Some of the jokes from chat are so good, they should be getting donations.

I totally forgot that Moriarty vid, now I really wondered what actually happened at IGN. I doubt it was the differences of opinions that he always used an argument. In this vid he is exactly touting the same bs narratives all those Third Wavers that started to take over gaming media landscape back than were saying. It seems he hasnt changed one bit now that he claimed to be abused and his selective corporate cucking. Also if this was worse than his self proclaimed abuse he said he received from Third Wavers. Than I really dont believe that old story anymore, that gave him the cred in certain circles to be where he is now. Grubb backing Mercante isnt a total surprise, dont forget he was one of Sarkeesian, Quinn and Wu's most loyal whipping boys & attack dogs; going after devs & gamers who didnt agreed with all the anti customer bs and politicization being forced upon gaming. Im glad somebody finally called out Tassi, Grub, Corden etc. Honestly I dont consider Corden to be an actual journalist. He said himself many times on that podcast with Rand, that he only releases 'news" if it doesnt steals devs & suits their thunder away. And/or if it doesnt puts him on the naughty list for exposing the industries dirty laundry. A real journalist to my opinion should report the news no matter its positive or negative, and shouldnt take any industry interest into account.

i am paying Premium for the classics..... Dark Cloud, Sly Cooper, etc. that I used to rent and dont own. I have my PS2 but it looks terrible with what I try on my 55 in OLED :(

Honestly, i think it's high time people grew up and stopped with this "Uncle Phil" mentality, praising his every move while having it sink what was once a platform, that operated as a well oiled machine deeper and deeper into the abyss of irrelevance, while earning awards for doing so. While the ps nerds seem salty about a potential inclusion of cod on gamepass, if previous attempts made to push GP subs failed, what makes this one any different? I mean, would putting cod on gamepass really do much to change things and lead to substantial sub growth? I think people are overestimating the potential impact cod will have towards the growth of GP. If a report by WSJ, one of the most reputable sources on the net currently, didn't cause GP subs to soar overnight through their article stating the cod ip's inclusion on the service with the upcoming release, I don't see how a formal announcement by Microsoft is going to do things any different or have a bigger news impact. Things are not as big as we think they are in my opinion. Now, saying that putting it on GP could potentially kill it is a massive exaggeration and given the franchise's mass appeal and popularity and with MS now being the owner of the IP, even if they do mess the IP it'll still bounce back at the top against. MS didn't spend 68.7 billion dollars for CoD just to see it fail. But it's put Xbox in MS' crosshairs and now they have to recoup all the money they pushed MS to spend on ABK. If Xbox can't recoup it fast enough, the chances of MS disposing of the Xbox hardware division and focusing on game dev exclusively aren't off the table. The pressure is on Xbox now to prove that it's worth keeping around. You make great content Alex. But I think it's time to actually focus on whether this move will bear any fruit in the long term and not in the short term.
