The fuse is usually burned because of a faulty motor in the drive... So the fuse may burn again imedietely or after small time.. i suggest replace the motor with fuse

I've had a disc motor go all together, blew the fuse again and had to figure out the motor was down to like 3 ish ohm. Had to replace the motor, interestingly enough, the motor and drive did not look like they were mistreated

I've had a few faulty motors burn out the fuse over and over myself too. It's a pain especially when you put it all back together to take it all apart again lol

You can buy them on ebay by searching for "PS4 Fuse" but they're expensive on there. I buy mine in packs of 50 from aliexpress for £18. They work out to 36 pence each (50 cents)

Sometimes you can't update when the disk drive doesn't work, that can happen also due to the fuses being blown? couse i think you had one where it didn't update couse the disk drive chip was blown and its married to the board i think

That's right mate yeah, if the fuses are blown it can cause a CE-35888-2 error code if it can't communicate with the renesas bdrom chip

I fixed my first ps4 today. the problem was that one of the black plastic things on the top of the disc drive had popped out of place and there was 2 discs stuck in there too lol

How'd you do that bro? mine on my 12** a is a bit out of place I removed the cable to fast to remove an old disc drive and Everything on my brand new disc drive looks a1 ready to go. I'm also thinking it could be a fuse I don't have a tester to see tho but it beeps when I hit eject so does that mean it's power there?
