Playing With Paint and Philosophy Creates a Painting. Cesar Santos
They call it playing music for a reason, art is playful. True technique comes with lot of practice and focused thinking, but the spontaneity of each painting must have a philosophical edge. Play with paint and philosophy and what happens!!

purity, truth and love as a superpower
Been a fan of Cesar for a few years now and I'm not sure if Cesar has reached a level of an artist or that my mental capacity has gotten deeper. But the last few pieces Cesar has painted have been incredible. The story not only in the theme of the painting but even in the direction of the brush strokes are contributing to the greater story.
BROTHER YOU ARE A TRUE TESTAMENT TO OUR PRESENT TIME, PERFECT BALLANCE.... SKILL, PHILOSOPHY AND PURE GENIUS.... KEEP INSPIRING US WITH YOUR PASSION... THANK YOU FOR SHARING...
You are one of my mentors who are the best what they do. Thank you so much for the knowledge and inspiration. This is absolutely amazing . Beauty. Hope to meet you one day.
I'm in love with that dutch inspired still life! Amazing!!
Beautiful work Cesar. He was one of my good friends in Florence and a very talented painter as are you. Love the color, form, and imagination man. Great video work too.
I so enjoy Cesar's videos. His skill and maybe most of all, attitude, is super refreshing. This is a terrific painting (and I knew instantly who the subject was- a beautiful mutual friend)! Not only is Cesar extraordinarily skilled, one can feel fear of painting, fear of the process, fear of Art melt away. I think painters who have come through atelier education can still harbor a lot of fear of making a painting incorrectly, and Cesar does a lot to show us a path beyond that. The new Maestro of Florence IMO.
Man, you continue to impress!! Absolutely brilliant work.
Amazing! 🤘😍🤘
Very good. The idea that things "stick" to us on many levels really steps up my mental game. Thank you

Always so inspiring Cesar!!!!
awesome!
👍
What a great masterpiece👏 Perfect colors and drawings. I learned a lot. I want to draw with paint brush tooo.
So beautiful. Id love to know the title of that painting. Flowers are magnificent, so is the color you chose for the hair and area around the ears. The soft palette on the figure contrasting with the vibrant colors of the flowers in the background makes this portrait sensational. It truly lives in the present with possibilities to be extended. Hope.
Awesome !!! 😇👍
Wonderful art!
In The Birth of Tragedy, Nietzsche writes that "we have our highest dignity in our significance as works of art - for it is only as an aesthetic phenomenon that existence and the world are eternally justified." Excellent video bro.

And great words from (imho) the greatest philosopher of all times.
molto bello 🎉
Man, I doubt I'll ever have the money, but commissioning you would be the greatest joy. I plan on truly starting my oil painting journey soon enough! It's hard when there's a lotta other things to do
I prefer the romantic line, in my painting.What i draw in first step are ,true nature if is a landscape. A still life or a figurative as a story to tell, never loose my racionality. Its my point of vue.
Thank you so much for always inspiring artists across the globe. ❤️ From India

Thank you!
wow
Ceaser I was wondering on the beginning drawing, what was used to draw out the photo picture? Charcoal, pen, paint? And did you use more than one. I love all your paintings thank you for your teaching.
have you read or watched Roger Scruton? would be interesting to see you tackle bigger subjects... not political but to bring back beauty without the influence of modernism.
how do you make your composition? intuition or rules?
@santocesart

Intuition, if you look at natural forms they are well composed. I get ideas from that.

So sorry to say buy Man u got a selfish vibe. Money is not everything.u r a great artist but u put videos only for patreons. There are many great artists in youtube who teaches us with their heart and are happy to share their knowledge and explain everything. They are loved by all and have many subscribers more than you and still have patreons. Be generous. Nobody cannot steal ur talent.

I believe we are missing philosophy in the arts. That's what I like to share as I find it most important. Coloring is cute and fun, I understand.

Ramesh....I think you missed seeing all Cesar's free videos?
@TALLERTRESCIENTOSUNO

Guess actually you're the one who's been a bit selfish here, Ramesh, thinking that everyone has to work for you for free. Everything costs, from paint tubes, to the video camera and the mic that made possible this video, plus especially the years and years of effort to develop the knowledge and the craft. And after all that you are suggesting we don't deserve a minimum in return? Money is not everything, Ramesh, so you could consider the possibility to get rid of a little bit of yours to support the people around you doing valuable work.

@@TALLERTRESCIENTOSUNO I think u r also here for free learning . Just saying that half knowledge is dangerous. If only we could learn something from him that would be fruitful for us and also for him too that he works hard to make videos for us and there is no such thing as free. U r paid by youtube.
