    In response to your question on hole 2: I think a course should play its best, regardless of whether that means some holes get harder, some stay the same, and some get easier. For example, I believe it's hole 14 at Belton, TX. The near 499ft par4 with a 10ft wide fairway and 10ft tall ceiling. If that course is ever used for a major, that hole should have some trees removed to make a second fairway, at least. But for a majority of holes, I believe they could use a few more bushes around the green to make upshot accuracy more demanding, and more highlight putts

    Love seeing Vinny join you guys. And yeah, courses that host majors should be significantly more difficult than their typical Elite/Elite+ set up. Grow the rough up, adjust the tee pads, and move the baskets around. And multiple pin placements should be a thing at all pro tour events.

  • @matthewessig8716
    @matthewessig87169 ай бұрын

    If the course(s) are on Tour and respected enough to land a major, I think there is reason to keep a lot the same. But, if there are a couple weaker holes that could be changed/buffed or maybe move some pins to some tougher spots, I think it should be done for the difficulty of it being a major. I think there is a compromise between the two cause doing nothing to buff it/them for a major and changing TOO much are both the extremes

    Also, Brodie, I'm impressed how you were able to develop professional level form in such a short period of time. I put in a ton of field work myself and I know how difficult it can be to figure out what the right cues / techniques are, and also to store beginner and intermediate cues into muscle memory. It takes time. I've been working at it for a few years myself now. Major props to you man. Serious dedication and love for the sport. This is very motivating for a lot of people I'm sure.

    I think when it’s like silver series and other smaller events, I don’t mind the other format videos. However, agree seeing the course from your perspective on how to manage and maneuver the course is always intuitive and enjoyable. Especially with your personalities and the guest you bring. Keep it up.

    No changes needed for a major, but ofc change it if you are doing it for the course in general Being a major already makes it a bit harder with the added pressure For me it's about seeing pros being consistent at the given course and difficulty... also makes it cooler when you can compare different skill levels

    In relation to easiest hole on tour, I think since most players are power throwers, hole 18 preserve has to be easiest in relation to par. 62 eagles on the weekend. 152 birdies. I understand that the hole structure starts with a somewhat iconic tee shot, with the gallery in mind for the basket location. I just believe that the hole design has little scoring separation and the field rakes in the strokes.
