Probably because the people, the culture in general cant handle the nice things such as this. 99% guarentee people either trash or rob a place like this in USA while Japanese law makes it nearly impossible to be a free man from stealing or destruction of property. Conclusion : americans cant have nice things like Japan because 1 group of people screws it for everyone always in america. More idiots causing destruction and continuous law changes then in Japan.
