In the original it was basically a cheat code since it only cost him 1 mp and gave 3. Set him to “support actions” “frequently” and just disable everything else that can cost him mp. Sora and Donald would never run out.

I wish the KH1 leveling style could be like, an option you could turn on for randomizers. This is such a cool idea

I think the closest thing to an updated KH1 is DDD. I guess it is more of a mix between BBB and KH1, though. I enjoyed it.

Kingdom Hearts 1 with kh2 progression, kh1 with kh2 physics, kh1 with drive? Honestly, gaining HP and MP would be cool to get after every world. Drive would be broken honestly, so no, but... Having kh2 physics would be great, but infinite combos like in 1 would be impossible. Now, what I would do is, Kairi won't let you leave, she will ask you to fight Tidus, Wakka, Selphie and Riku, I mean, she doesn't, she just says to hang out while she prepares the raft. Beating Riku in the race is optional, you will still get your "Bonus" level, honestly, it seems like a great idea.

Is nobody gonna talk about that gamer momment at 29:24? Your a monster my guy!

Ethers are massively nerfed with low MP because of how ethers were originally programmed

If you choose the night pash in kh 1, you level up slowly up to level 40 and afterwards gain levels faster, which is why it's usually picked as defeating all the enemies naturally tends to get you to level 60-70 without too much grind endgame wise. It rewards you heavily for killing without remorse and game awareness, and oh God the tech system combined with it rewards risky players so much, I love it.

This is pretty interesting, especially with how there's no "correct path". MP system is a bit weird, but I suppose it'd take much more in-depth modding to get it to be like KH1 for real. Good vid!

That was actually my initial idea for the plando, but there were multiple memory issues, so I decided against it on release

I thought scan from KH1 came before lv20 if you picked the shield.... I could be wrong though. I always picked something (I know it's not the sword) and I got scan in KH1 before lv10. EDIT: Nvm, I just realized final mix shifted the levels you learn scan. Sword now gets it the earliest and shield the latest

I usually pick sword in kh1 and I remember it’s level 20 when you get scan.

You had midnight correct. Slow start fast end. Dawn has fast at the start slow near the end. Mid day has it so its the same pace the whole game.

If you go long enough without punishing him, eventually when he dashes at you an event RC will start (similar to the Samurai's Duel Stance). Winning that gives you temporary control of his Keyblades.

Does anyone know why haven't I gotten Final Form in the original PS2 version of Kingdom Hearts 2? I have all the Forms except for that one and reached the World that Never Was. I only have to beat Xemnas to finish the game. But essentially I finished the game.

If you still haven't gotten, here's a quick way to cheese it. Go to the land of dragons and enter the throne room. In any room with an NPC, you have a 100% shot of getting a form. You can use it to boast up your anti-Sora counter to ensure you'll get anti-form when you use any form outside of NPC rooms. If you're lucky, you'll get it in a few shots.

The best part about the trick is that if you're fast enough you can hop right out of the world before the bar runs out allowing you essentially infinite drive use (that's how I typically grind Master form). Unfortunately, it only works if you get regular form. If you try it without getting a Drive and instead get Anti, it'll just drain your drive bar for funsies.

So youre playing kh1 in kh2 a using kh3 keyblade

the funny thing is, there IS a KH1-2. whether you wanna call it KH2, Chain and Recoded, or KH1FM. There most certainly is a kh1-2 lmao

I didn't know bosses in KH2 didn't give exp.. I.. always went in with slightly below a level because was like "oh a tiny boost to stats won't do much I'll just top off here, it makes sense" and never really noticed the "bonuses" weren't the same as level ups.. also I was kind of marathoning the KH games when they came out for XBONE so... ya... i should replay them some time for various achievements and stuff... Also don't think I realized that the forms level up in unique ways.. dunno how i did the cave unless through dumb luck.. or i think i did look it up after questioning it Btw I find it somewhat bull that the games were like "oh you played on anything besides critical? you get punished with having to do all the random side shit for the secrets" thank god the internet exists...

I personally like that decision. If you do the hardest difficulty you automatically get secrets, but if you do an easier difficulty you need to do other challenges. It makes it always feel like a reward

I have no idea what's possible with KH2 mods, but I feel like to really compete the experience, they should have made it so that there are no forms but you can get limit form abilities through level up

honestly it's kinda dumb that they limited HP/MP increases to bonus levels in most of the games after the OG, the only ones that properly give HP boosts with levels are Re:CoM (as much as I hate it that's the ONE thing it did right) and 358 Days 5:00 also nice transition

I think the reasoning is so that lvl 1 runs actually have hp in the later games. Kh1 was balanced around you leveling up which is why scan also was placed in levels and in every other game you either get it by default or early on through a boss.

@@MrBii03 still, wouldn't hurt to toss them in the leveling mix, at least on critical mode to compensate for the stupid penalty to how much HP/MP each boost gives
