Playing in the Mud! | Thank God for Tracks

Anyone who has ever been to Western New York towards the end of the harvest season knows that if it ain't snowing then its raining. And with rain comes mud. Boy do I love playing in the mud. Even in the mud and the muck it is always a great day to feed the world.

Worst case scenario. Guy who farms land near me uses his 7720 JD in mud and it is unstoppable. When I was a kid our neighbors made their own rice tracks, wooden planks make tracks on their Massey 760s

When I had a 7720 with rice tires it would really go through deep mud. Thanks for the comments.

I like your intros. What a miserable fall last year....it gave that new 9670 A workout. Your 9500 cleaned up nice

Those tracks look pretty cool. With all the water in that field and the cold temperatures you can open the farming sumbitch ice rink! Happy Birthday Troy

That was in November, hopefully it’s gone down by now. Might have to go check tomorrow before the big snowstorm! Thanks Mike

Now that’s some mud right there. I can listen to that exhaust note on that combine and she’s working

I remember the year my Dad installed metal JD tracks on his JD 6600 combine. One field we were just starting to open up for Morgan's had over 12" of water standing in it. Only went about fifty feet into field and then we got out of there! (Steve Whitney)

I never knew he had metal tracks. He covered a lot of acres with that 6600!

I saw a video awhile ago from Germany I think it was and the mud was so bad they had a john deere pulling a class out of the field because one tractor couldn't get enough grip to pull the silage chaff out of the field. your mud remids me of that video

At least most of our fields have a bottom, once there we almost got stuck with the tracks on. Thanks for watching!

Dang you got some sloppy fields in spots. I would be scared to take our 9500 in something like that. Nice video

That’s why we put tracks on the 9670. It was a challenge this fall but we finished before thanksgiving. Thanks!

Not sure how heavy those tracks are but the ATI tracks are over 6000 pounds each it takes a little bit to lift them bastards up and yes tracks make a world of difference
