PLAYING IN THE #1 CITY FOR DISC GOLF IN THE USA!! Vlogmas Day 19
Спорт
Lewiston & Auburn, Maine, and surrounding communities are the best metro area for disc golf in the United States. Maine is the only state where privately-owned, pay-to-play courses are the norm. The large volume of courses in and around Lewiston/Auburn means that competition for players is high. For owners to attract steady business, they need great tracks that are meticulously maintained and have lots of amenities. As a result, most of the area's disc golf facilities would be premier desinations if plopped down alone anywhere else. Full article here - udisc.com/blog/post/top-10-di...

Living in maine you guys are my favorite course and I've been all around maine can't wait for the new course
Miles and I share a home course and I play random doubles with him all the time. He consistently shreds people twice his age. Great to see him on the vlog

what's ur rating bro
I was at a tournament in line buying Miles’ signature DD justice. Never heard of him, just like the disc. Apparently I was standing in line next to him and his mom is like “hey, that’s his disc you know…” and we chatted for a minute. Talk about humble haha. Bright future.
Maine Disc Golf is truly amazing. Everyone should come and experience it at least once!
Miles seems like such a cool dude! I can’t wait to see him out with the pros someday
Miles has beaten the breaks off me more times than i can count in tournaments, can't wait to see where he goes in the sport
7:24 The little shoulder shrug, and the look of confidence, when you don't miss a descent putt in front of a pro you look up to.
Great to see Miles on the blog !! When I started playing about 6 years ago I was emptying my bag on a 300 foot hole (Pineland Patriot hole 1) and only getting it out about 200. This little kid about 7 years old steps up and parks it, that’s how I met Miles, lol.
Miles is sooo going to be World champion one day soon. Well done done little fella, keep it up. I, for one, am rooting for you from over here in England 🏴 🤘
Thank you for doing this, Simon. It’s really nice having this one regular, consistent thing at this time of year. You are a rockstar and a great person.
Thank you Simon for doing this vlog, it's great to have something consistent to watch every day. Also thanks to the other pros that do these vlogs. You're all great.
As someone who grew up in the chicago suburbs the quote "i dont know if i really want to go to Peoria Illinois for that" made me chuckle
So great to see kids like Miles getting the recognition, and by people like Simon too. Awesome to see. Happy holidays
so awesome to see how much you work with non DiscMania players and all the courses you play. It really shows that you just have a true love for the sport and a deeper love for growing the sport.
Was awesome meeting you yesterday Simon! Congrats on the new beer release!
Way to go, Miles! Keep it up, man. Can't wait to see you in the big leagues!
Thanks for helping spread the word about Maine disc golf! I have to point out that Lewiston/Auburn is number 1 in the USA not solely because of Sabattus (although they are, of course, a world class facility), but because of the sheer number of courses within a 20-30 minute drive of the city. If you look up the area on udisc you will see what I mean. Ackers Acres, Dragan Field, and especially Pineland Farms are tremendous courses in their own right. Seeing how many courses you could play in a single day would be a cool vlog idea! Also, even if you don't play disc golf, you should visit Maine. Seriously.
Wow what a pro shop...the combo of pro shop and courses is a winning concept...
Nothing like Simon and Vlogmas !!! Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas 🎄 !!!
Great round, Miles! Have fun and chase it, buddy. Thanks for a great Vlogmas, Simon.
Glad to see Sabattus get a shout out ;-) Great crew there - I've bought discs from there for years - and will hopefully make it there some day to play! :-) Love the Vlogmas series :-) Cheers to you and yours!
Congrats on the new beer release simon. Happy holidays and congrats on the baby coming 🎉🎉😎🎄
Thanks for all you do man, these videos make the Christmas season away from family better
This is awesome man, and so is Miles! I played the hawk yesterday too, wish I left the house earlier lol. Nice to see a Maine course getting love🤙
Added to my U-Disc course wishlist because of your video, thanks for the tip on this place!! I have ordered discs from their site before but never knew they had courses on site!! So cool, looking forward to supporting them in the future.
Watching your favorite pro disc golfer play your home corse and is one of the best things in the world to watch, thank you Simon. I hope you come back soon and play a couple of Maine’s other corses.
Great job. Miles and his family are great people. Proud to know them.
Miles has the skills and has a likeable personality to go with it. Glad to see players like this on the channel.

What perfect ad placement I thought he was about to ace at 6:20 because of it hahahaha
What a beautiful place, didn’t know it existed. Such a nice chill round, really enjoyed it.
Loved that course and pro shop. Can't wait to go back.
Miles is very chill, keep going dude!
That's where I live simon I'm so happy to see you there I shot 10 under on the hawk and 3 under on the eagle and I'm 15 love that course can't wait for the new course
Simon you're my favorite disc golfer of all time!!!!! You are simply amazing my dude!!!
Putting a smile on my face daily, Simon :)
Always a big fan of the wholesome vibes!
Yup Maine is where it's at! Check out legacy farms in winterport ME
Next time youre in the area, Simon, you should swing by and check out Hammond Farm Disc Golf in North Berwick. Fun course super technical, tight lines, elevation changes and beautifully maintained. My favorite course. Cant see how you wouldnt enjoy it especially if you play it blind. As always a great and fun video. Vlogmas is fantastic this year.
that dude is nuts. so happy to see a younger generation picking up and shredding discs :)
So happy you said hi to the girls. Those goats are the best. 🙏✌
nice looking pro shop unless you've been in marshall street, which Simon most likely has been. the course appears to be easy but well taken care of. thanks for yet another great video.
Great round miles 👍👍
Definitely should check out Devil's Grove (Lewiston), Bittersweet (North Yarmouth), Pineland Farms (New Gloucester) and Dragan (Auburn) if you haven't. All are wicked good places to play and have multiple courses as well. I also want to point out that while some places do have very forgiving pars, they tighten up for tournaments.

Awesome! I was going to ask for some suggestions for a Maine road trip. Any tips on good places to stay between Lewiston and North Yarmouth?
Walking with 13 year old miles, “And now we’re about to go taste some beers”
Just played this course today! It's definitely an amazing place.
Course looks awesome great video simon
I was gonna say that Miles is like a mini Emerson Keith but he's also like a full size Emerson Keith 😂
The highlight of my evening!
Love the vids!
This is my all-time favorite spot to play disc golf!
Hope you enjoyed your trip here Simon!
I’m a fan of the pay to play format. A lot of our courses need this for upkeep purposes! Just a few dollars each time is all we need.
miles shredding it!
Well I know a 13yr that would probably crush me on the course. Sweet thanks my confidence needed that Simon! Lol
Great vlog! Congrats on the beer release! Is any of that beer making its way the west coast ( Bay Area ) lol
Miles that dude bro! We all know him in the near future
Played here today! Played all 3 courses and they were great
Hi Simon, At 66 years old I just started playing. I live in North Adams MA and play at Windsor Lake (heavily wooded) I would be honored to play a round with you when you are competing in the Green Mountain State. I have been playing all winter! All my best to much success!
Simon is the disc golf vlog king.
Love your vlogmas episodes! What camera and mic setup do you use for your episodes?
That kid is so good! I hope he sticks with it and becomes the next Paul McBeth or something.
Your doing the number two city next right?! Let me know if you come out to Chicago suburbs, some great courses out here!
Simon low key hinting at retooling the logic. 😁
Sweet👍🏻 greetings from Germany 😌
Man you need to see the Dellwood Disc Golf Shop at the Canyons at Dellwood Park
Maine!!! Yeah man!
I truly miss “The shot of the day”. 💯🤙🏽
I played there this summer I love that spot
Simon, you should see how many different courses you can play in one day!
awesome video Simon!! thank you for all the Christmas vibes! Can somebody tell me what kind of DiscMania discs I can use to learn the types of shots they throw here 9:18 please awesome shots!

Simon is likely throwing the new md1. Something for a mortal like us would probably be an origin or FD depending on how far you can throw
I have to leave my bag at the door when I enter Sabattus pro shop🤪professional privilege I guess. Nice vid Simon
DDO is a blast!!!
Lets go Miles!!!
You probably won't see this Simon but I really love the Logic for a neutral to stable throwing putter. Give it a shot. Also Miles tore it up, I wish I had that control and consistency.

Really want be stable or even neutral for Simon since it's understandable even for me
@natebell4764
2 жыл бұрын
@@tombobek2306 yeah if you are driving with it its going to flip. but if you throw at the right speed for an an approach it holds true. I shouldn't have really said stable but with touch it does a have a nice hyzer line. I also got mine in heavy mode exo soft so maybe you have a different experience.
That kid is seriously good
I live in Wisconsin and almost all of our courses are also pay to play. However we have the same deal! Lots of great mantinance and changing of basket positions
Pacific Northwest disc golf is awesome too!!!
Thank you!
Tell miles to make that peoria trip, then slide up to rockfords anna page and play their 3 course park…free! All 3 are great courses!
Come to KC Simon! My boys and I will show you around and have some fantastic KC brewed beer in the meantime
wait i didnt realize it till now but do you almost never throw forehands simon? good luck miles also
I think I found a course that I can shoot under on. Now I just need to get some plane tickets.
id like to see you do a video on Wildcat Bluff disc golf course in Urbana, Iowa. i believe its ranked 16 in the country.
Reppin my home state 💪🏾💪🏾
Try South Bend, Mishawaka, Elkhart, Indiana. All within 20 miles of each other..weve got about 7 courses. Also Peru, Missisinawa(spellcheck), Indiana. They have 3 courses linked within a mile of each other. All of which are play to play. ALL very well maintained and taken care of. Peru (HoneyBear Hollow) has a very nice shop and Elkhart, Indiana has a play it again sports shop that has the Largest supply of discs Ive ever seen.
Hey Simon please schedule the World Pool Championship soon with Paul.....the video of the year in 2020!
Come to Bowling Green, KY. We have 5 courses and 2 not too far away from here.
Hi very nice to see your vlogs and would have been really fun if you had secretly signed one disc :)
Nice course
Always throw your second shot first!
someone needs to get this man to Woodland Valley
Come to spring valley in the woodlands Texas, it’s 5 bucks to play
That's my home course!
I don't think udisc ratings mean anything, but it looks nice. I'm curious, how many months of the year are temps consistently above 50? And how many courses within the city? How many world championships have been held there? National championships? #1 city for disc golf seems a bit of a stretch. I do love private courses though I'll have to visit sometime in the summer when the weather is bearable.
Please come to Nashville, TN and play crockett park, no chance you beat my course rec of -14
Do you plan on trying Driftless 18 in MN?
My buddy loves putting with logics but he has a smaller hand and can’t get a good enough grip on deeper putters
I kind of wanted to see the beer tasting.

most likely tomorrow's episode...
Peoria has some amazing courses, but when there's a complex like this out in main I don't blame him for not wanting to come out. Miles has a killer game and a killer name :) Also thank you for the videos, Simon!!
