What always surprises me is how players like him see a pixel on the screen and go "Oh, it's a Ju 87 G-2, its wing is damaged, the pilot's name is Gunther, he has an unpopped zit on his chin and his wife is cheating on him with the gunner".

@@conorf8091 He's still better than I am. Whenever I shoot at something in a plane it's like they're god damn Fortune from MGS2, be it plane or tank. And me? Enemy could fire a slingshot at me and I'd either disintegrate or get pilot sniped.

Yeah, well I think he has also some crappy Matches. But we see mostly some roflstomps. Thats okay, because Odd also wants to show some Gameplay which where entertaining. I mean, yeah we can watch him 15min in a Match which he kills 2 Guys and gets stomped. I think you too have some Good Matches time to times right?

I have a love-hate relationship with the PT-76b. I mean it's amazing when you get your shot where you want it, but if you even tickle a track with the HEATFS shell it disappears and the enemy can shoot your paper thin armor.

This combo used to be one of my favorite combos a year or two ago. It was SO good during the era of US Hellcat spam.

I personally love the fact that you do both tanks and planes in ground RB; just my 2 cent.

I love this plane. The best plane to do deflection shots, since each tap burst will crit the enemy.

The PT76 can swim. It’s float rate is very low in the water, making it hard to hit at range in water. It’s also good for flanking on maps like Port Nova if you spawn south.

The one time I ran in to you in a match, Odd, was in an Air RB and I had the time of my life playing against you. Your videos, and Phly's, remind me that War Thunder is a fun game even when the going gets rough. Keep your head up and having a great time man. Love all of your content and hope to fight with you, or against you, soon!

I think it's an easy trap to fall in to, focusing on the negative and not seeing the positive.. I remember Jacksepticeye (iirc) doing a video talking about his mental well being and how he one day noticed that he was focusing on the 50 people making negative comments and forgetting to pay attention to the 20,000+ other people making positive comments. (I made the numbers up as it was a fair while ago and I don't recall the exact figures he said, but needless to say it was a very small percentage being negative).

You know, the PT was not meant to engage in big tank battles. It was build and developed for beeing able to naval invade across for example the black sea or the baltic sea and carrying soldiers on the hull. In most engages on land, it didn't perform very good, but when it attacked over sea, it performed really really well.

You really should do "How to" videos on CAS like how to line up and strike a target without making yourself a target. You're really good at it. I've been playing War Thunder since before there were tanks and I'm the worst pilot I know.

It's probably more a need for map awareness than anything else. You need to know the likely spots you'll get shot at by AA or otherwise, you need to know your angles of attack that will keep you safe from said spots, and you need to know when to abort a CAS strike when you need to. Probably. I learned to CAS so I could play ARB in GRB back when ARB was too broken to grind in properly, so I'm probably way off the mark.

@@aracaniusinfinius2880 It's more an issue with attacking. What altitude to start from, what speed, accurate aiming, and when to pull out of the dive. Also, throttle and flap control through the whole process. He actually just did a "How to CAS" yesterday and it was very helpful.

I actually had a game where I got 4 kills with the PT-76B, & double that with a Yak-3P (ground targets). To me the PT-76B is underrated but its really true that its not good of a tank, I really like when panthers think they can get the better of you but there is a place qt tge front allowing you to kill all crew with a single shot.

Hey Odd ! Love all your videos and all your content ! Keep giving us some cool games ! I also have a small Tip with the Tu-2 : it can turn good enough for a light bomber, but still not good enough for real dogfight. But the Tu-2 is solid, and you have got 2 rear gunners with 12.7 guns, (or a 12.7 and a 20mm on the Tu-2 59), so when a fighter come straight for you like this AD-2/4, you can just go straight forward and take some speed, and then switch to gunner view and spray his engine / cockpit. I scored many many kills on fighters trying to take me down with the gunners in fact.

Yes, encoding with another PC so it doesn’t affect my game while it’s poorly optimised. As well as forcing 8x AA because Gaijin removed it for some reason.

FYI, you can drive onto the northern ridge on the Game 2 map. I've never done it, so I don't know how to get there but if I were to guess probably the castle cause you can get to the castle. (I had a Comet with an Ace crew get up there once and he cut down so much of our team before I exposed his location and he was almost immediately shot from 3 angles)

@@Fr_87 Its a low altitude monster. Watch DEFYNs "review" on it to see what it can do. I'm not good enough to give it full credit in Air RB but for a while I did have as a dedicated Anti CAS in my Russian line up. I'd definitely recommend trying it, 2 guns can be rough but workable.

Odd you missed out on what I want to say is the absolute low alt prop king, the Yak3U. The PTSD76 is a great tank if you love assists or hullbreaking things.

I got a yak 3t 5.0 from an event 1 time if u get the chance to fly it u should. FYI careful flying at 100% to long u will rip your wings off if not paying attention

The air combat in ground RB is the best in my opinion. Mostly 1 on 1 duels without stupid markers. I play ground rb just so I can fly lol

At 14:10 Odd says he switches planes after he landed at the airfield. How can you do that without losing the plane you are in intitally? And can you change ammo loadout as well? Thanks in advance for the answer

if you're not damaged, you just bail out, no penalty. So the trick is to repair first, then bail. No I don't think you can change payload (never used to be able to) but if you have 2 or more similar planes, all with different load outs, you can do it that way.
